Manchester United and Wolves progressed to the last 16 but Arsenal and Celtic suffered heartbreaking exits.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, speaking to BT Sport: "It hurts a lot. We had a lot of intentions in this competition. It was very important for us. Emotionally it has been a very difficult game.
"We tried and tried and tried, we threw everything at them. They defended very deep. We managed to score though and we were through but then we conceded a late corner and it was another set piece.
"To attack against 10 players is a very difficult thing. I felt we created enough chances to win the game comfortably. It didn't happen but we had to manage the game much better in the final five minutes."
On whether he felt the players were too complacent going into the game: "I don't think so. The players knew it would be a difficult game. It is cruel. It is a massive disappointment but at the same time I am very proud of the players. It would have been an incredible lift if we had managed to go through the tie. The players have my backing for the way they played but it is painful."

Martin Keown speaking on BT Sport: "It was the first time I felt that the players were not responding to the manager and the manager did not know what changes to make. There is so many disappointments in that Arsenal performance. There were so many unprofessional performances from players. Such a poor game for Arsenal.
"If you break down the performance you could have looked at every single player and say that they could have all done more. Pepe is going to have to improve. Martinelli should have come on a lot earlier. Xhaka was taking the easy way out. A lot of players were not playing their best."
On Aubameyang miss: "It would have been the perfect way to finish but they didn’t. There was a lot of anger, fans were showing their anger at the end of the game. There is going to be a lot of fallout from this game."

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is clearly hurting as he speaks to BT Sport after that cruel loss for Arsenal: "Very, very disappointing. What can I say? It is very, very hard. It was a tough game again.
"The last-minute goal was, yeah, unlucky for us. That is it."
Asked how he missed that late chance: "I don't even know. I feel very, very bad. It can happen but I do not know how I missed this chance. I was tired, I had some cramps but it is not an excuse."
On why it was hard to break down Olympiakos: "It was tough because they played very deep. It was hard to find the solutions in the final third. It was a really tough game and tough to find spaces.
"We will try to keep improving in the league and try to win as many games as possible and we will see."
Wolves
Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo said his side's qualification for the Europa League last 16 is a "massive achievement", despite Jonathan Calleri's hat-trick condemning them to a narrow 3-2 defeat at Espanyol.
The Premier League side travelled to Barcelona in full control of the tie after their emphatic 4-0 win at Molineux in the first leg, and although they were beaten in Spain, Nuno insisted he was "proud" of his players.
"I'm very proud with the way the players have been working and dedicating themselves, and I think it has been massive," he said.
"It's massive for the club, massive for the city and we are happy, but we want to keep going.
"Keep going with the hard work, and this gel between players is amazing, but we need to keep on going."

Manchester United goal scorer Odion Ighalo speaking to BT Sport: “The confidence was high, we spoke before the start the game. We knew the fans are behind us and we knew we needed to go all out and give it everything. Our defence got up on everything and with the red card it was very difficult for them as we attacked well as a team but we were so strong.”
On scoring his first goal for the club: “It was a great moment, I have been waiting for this since making my debut. I have it now and it starts my goal career here at the team I have supported since I was a little boy. It is a dream come true and I thank God for that.”

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer speaking to BT Sport: “The football we played at times pleased me the most. We started the game with great intent. We were playing with good rhythm and intent in our game and we got some great goals as well.”
On Odion Ighalo: “He plays up front, he can play with his back to goal and the goal was a good example of what you want of him. He can hold up the ball and he is what we have been lacking a little bit. If we hadn’t had Odion tonight then Mason Greenwood would have had to play and we have a game on Sunday and that would put us in a tired position. We knew what we got when we signed him.”
On improving performances: “We are not conceding goals which is so important but we played today the way we want to play. The players are smiling, they are playing with confidence and that is what we want. The new lads have brought that in.”
