  2. goal

GOAL - Olympiakos 1-1 Wolvespublished at 21:24 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March 2020

    Pedro Neto (67 mins)

Wolves level it up! A touch of luck just when they needed it from a free-kick.

Joao Moutinho lines up to take it but instead backheels into the path of Pedro Neto, he runs on and smacks it low and hard with his left foot, it takes a chonky deflection off Andreas Bouchalakis and flies into the back of the net.

    Parity.

I know Uefa have got bigger fish to fry but there's definitely fans in the ground somewhere now, chanting and singing away. The band strikes up every now and again.

    Twenty-five minutes left.

  5. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:17 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March 2020

    Olympiakos 1-0 Wolves

That was brilliant football! Superb stuff from Wolves as Pedro Neto turns on the edge of the box and slides in Raul Jimenez, perfectly weighted pass. Jimenez is on the right of the area, gets his head down and just leathers the ball towards the roof of the net, Batistuta-style.

It hits Jose Sa clean in the face, and he just gets up and gets on with it. That would have knocked out many a pro boxer. Flush.

The game has got much better I'm pleased to report.

  6. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 21:13 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March 2020

    Olympiakos 1-0 Wolves

Straight from the restart Wolves want a penalty as Diogo Jota charges into the box and goes down under the challenge from keeper Jose Sa.

It's just a corner given though. We have lift-off.

  7. goal

GOAL - Olympiakos 1-0 Wolvespublished at 21:10 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March 2020

    Youssef El Arabi (54 mins)

Where has that come from?! Out of nowhere the hosts have the lead!

Guilherme makes it all on his own, timing a run from deep to perfection to take Conor Coady totally out of the game, he sprints into the area, cuts it back past Rui Patricio and leaves Youssef el Arabi with a tap-in.

We get goal music, more brass band, some chanting from somewhere. It's meant to be totally empty remember.

Right then Wolves, no messing about. You've got a full-strength side out, they're down to 10 men. Score nice and early and then wrap up a demoralising 3-0 win.

Where there is Adama Traore there is hope of excitement. He spins down the wing and is taken out by Kostas Tsimikas. Almost half-time, chance to put in a good ball.

  19. Postpublished at 20:37 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March 2020

    Olympiakos 0-0 Wolves

Wolves have been largely excellent since their return to the top flight but this is a flat, flat showing.

And who can blame the players? The club tried to call it off, the manager said yesterday and today that they shouldn't be playing and it's an absurd match.

    Human nature.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March 2020

It's Papa Cisse who comes on for Olympiakos, on for Giorgos Masouras.
