Well, that was a lot more competitive than some might have expected. Big blow for Liverpool, given how close they ran Arsenal, but a huge three points for an out-of-sorts Gunners side.

Vivianne Miedema's two goals were ultimately decisive tonight, as she took her tally for the WSL season up to 16.

That was unusual from Vivianne Miedema, who hit it so far over the bar it flew into the car park over the Harry McNally Terrace. Then Liverpool keeper Anke Preuss reacted well to make a decent save. This game is on a knife edge!

This is a better spell of pressure now from the Gunners.

This doesn’t look good for Beth Mead. You could hear how much pain she was in. The referee initially gestured for a stretcher before Leah Williamson helped Mead hop off the pitch with the help of the medical team. England boss Phil Neville, who has been watching on from the stands, went straight down to the tunnel. He will be concerned. England’s defence of the SheBelieves Cup title begins in Orlando on 5 March.
