  1. Goodwin says postponement was 'sensible decision'published at 20:04 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2020

St Mirren P-P Heart of Midlothian

St Mirren were due to play Hearts tonight in the Scottish Premiership but the pitch and surrounding areas were deemed unsuitable for the game to go ahead.

St Mirren manager Jim Goodwin agreed with the decision to postpone their match against Hearts with poor weather conditions.

“We’re all disappointed, it should have been a good encounter between two good sides, but unfortunately the weather has got the best of us," he told BBC Sportsound.

“The pitch was only going to get worse as the night went on, so I think the sensible decision was made to postpone it.

“There could be an element of fatigue there, so it maybe could be a blessing in disguise for us [days after an extra-time win during the week over Motherwell]. But we came through that game unscathed to be honest. We would have had a fully-fit squad to choose from.”

John Robertson changed it after the goal, swapping the two wide guys, stopping the full-backs getting forward, stopped the supply to Lawrence Shankland and got Inverness back into the game. Caley have probably been the better side

  3. HALF-TIME Dundee United 1-1 Inverness CTpublished at 19:52 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2020

The weather might be hellish out there but the standard of game we are watching here certainly isn't.

After a dominating start to the game from Dundee United which seen them take the lead through a lovely finish from Louis Appere, Inverness began to feel themselves into the game and made the league leaders pay as Jordan White headed home a James Keatings corner just after the half hour mark.

It's all to play for in second half between the league's top two at a rain soaked Tannadice.

It was poor defending from Connolly and Watson - neither are picking up White. Lawrence Shankland is then set free - it's end to end stuff.

Inverness almost take the lead and it's that man Jordan White again.

There's confusion in the United backline as Mark Connolly and Paul Watson go for the same ball. It breaks for White, but his close range effort is deflected just wide.

Connolly looks to have look a sore one in the process.
