Martin Boyle must have been fouled about eight times in this first half alone. It was he who was brought down for the free-kick that just created the opener. There's another.

Inverness are not giving this up.

It's not a good goal for Inverness to concede - you have to match your runners. If Adam Jackson hadn't scored, Paul Hanlon was waiting to put it away as well.

GOAL- Hibernian 1-0 Inverness CTpublished at 37 mins

    Adam Jackson

We've just been questioning why centre-back Paul Hanlon was taking a penalty, and now his partner at the back has just done that.

What a finish as he lifts the ball deliciously over Mark Ridgers for the opener. It all came from a long free-kick which was flicked on by Christian Doidge, and Jackson took it beautifully on the volley. Brilliant.

  4. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 36 mins

    Hibernian 0-0 Inverness CT

Inverness midfielder Tom Walsh has just hit the post! He jinked past two Hibs players into the box and struck across goal, and it canons off the upright.

TV replays show Ofir Marciano got the slightest of touches. Great save.

Man, that was dramatic. Mark Ridgers the hero for the visitors!

Hibs have struggled a bit from the spot this season, but has Paul Hanlon ever taken a penalty in a match before?

It's settled down again at Easter Road with 10 minutes left in the half.

It's not a good penalty - it's an easy enough save. Martin Boyle, Scott Allan, Marc McNulty - there are three guys who should be taking a penalty before a centre-half. Paul Hanlon should be one of the last you're looking at to take it.

It's saved! Mark Ridgers guesses right and denies the Hibs centre-back! He then gets another go from the rebound and the Inverness keeper denies him again.

I'm sure Hibs fans will be asking, why Paul Hanlon?

Kevin McHattie has a handful of Marc McNulty's shirt and the Hibs striker hits the deck. Nick Walsh this time points to the spot. It's Paul Hanlon lining it up. Eh?

  9. Postpublished at 27 mins

    Hibernian 0-0 Inverness CT

Inverness centre back Brad McKay cuts out another Martin Boyle cross which was heading for Christian Doidge.

It was Scott Allan who slipped in Boyle again. A potent combo at the moment for Hibs.

Inverness break nicely but Carl Tremarco balloons a cross behind the bye-line.

A quarter of the game gone, it's fairly even, though Hibs have had the better chances.

Boyle is just so quick-footed. He goes at you with pace and if you leave a leg hanging out, he's going over the top of it. Ref Nick Walsh just has to settle himself down. The days of just having a word with a player are long gone.

A man in green and white is scythed down. Guess who it is? Martin Boyle. Carl Tremarco is the man to trip him up this time to stop a Hibernian counter attack.

The Inverness captain won't play in the semi-final should Caley Thistle get there. Three of them in the book already.

  13. Postpublished at 19 mins

    Hibernian 0-0 Inverness CT

Midfielder David Carson is the latest Inverness player into the referee's book. Three yellows in the first 18 minutes between the sides.

Men in green continue to swarm in behind the Highlanders' defence, but the long passes are being repelled at the moment.

It's going to be interesting when the guys go through that earlier penalty appeal for Martin Boyle at half-time. Even with the benefit of replays, I can't really tell whether there was contact sufficient for him to go down.

    Who'd be a referee?

  15. Boyle causing havocpublished at 14 mins

    Hibernian 0-0 Inverness CT

Martin Boyle has been a busy man early on. Man, he's quick. He gets a cross in to Christian Doidge who can't quite lay it off to Scott Allan.

Shortly after, Inverness midfielder Charlie Trafford is booked for scything down Boyle who, surprise, surprise, is too fast for him.

The Hibs winger has stayed down, too.

I'm saying penalty and keeper sent off. If Nick Walsh has got that right, it's fantastic refereeing.

It's a big, big call this from referee Nick Walsh. Martin Boyle is played through once again, he sprints through, rounds the goalkeeper and goes to deck.

Walsh thinks he's dived and books the Hibs winger. TV replays are pretty inconclusive as to whether Mark Ridgers' foot made contact...

  19. Hibs up the tempopublished at 5 mins

    Hibernian 0-0 Inverness CT

Hibs are looking sharp now, they break forward and Scott Allan threads through Martin Boyle, the winger turns back away from goal and then hooks a shot, which is comfortably saved by Mark Ridgers.

  20. CLOSE!published at 3 mins

    Hibernian 0-0 Inverness

Hibs go close as Martin Boyle plays a lovely ball through for Christian Doidge, who squares for Marc McNulty, only for Brad McKay to make a crucial interception.

    Nice stuff from Hibs.
