    Lovely touch from Billy Mckay and lovely hit. That's the first time Allan McGregor has been tested in this game. Good save. He had to have a strong leg to get that away. The Rangers fans are starting to get frustrated - Rangers' final ball has been horrendous all day

    The veteran midfielder finds Billy Mckay inside the penalty box and the Premiership player of the month fires a low drive that is too close to goalkeeper Allan McGregor, who deflects it clear with his knees.

    What is alarming for Rangers is that lack of quality in the final third. Borna Barisic and Ryan Kent have put in some good balls, but that quality in front of goal is missing. It could be lack of confidence, or it could be lack of ability. I would have thought, given Rangers' fragile confidence, County would have been more in their faces

    If you could imagine a game between two sides low on confidence, this is it.

    Rangers have dominated possession in the first half, but any efforts on goal they've had have been easily dealt with by goalkeeper Ross Laidlaw.

    County have had a couple of half chances but are content to sit back and absorb it all and frustrate opponents who lack intensity and are not showing much of their greater quality.

    Liam Fontaine has gone to ground. There are plenty of appeals from Rangers players. It's hard to tell without seeing the TV footage, but on first look, I think it would have been harsh to give a penalty for that

    Rangers have reasonable shouts for a penalty waved away by the referee after Ianis Hagi finds Matt Polster with a fine pass and the right-back's cross from the by-line is turned wide for a corner by the sliding Liam Fontaine. TV replays suggest it struck the former Hibs centre-back's arm.

    Ross County just need a little more support from midfield. If somebody was running towards the penalty spot, they would have certainly got a good effort on goal from that Liam Fontaine header
