Rio Ferdinand
Former England defender in Brazil
I did call it. I think Brazil have come up against a well oiled clinical machine. The way Germany set up in the first 10 to 15 minutes, there were no gaps and no space for Brazil to play.
I think Khedira has been the best player on the pitch. Broken up attacks brought people in, got his goal, everything you want from a midfielder.
Alan Hansen
Former Scotland and Liverpool defender in Brazil
There has never been a game like this. It is utter humiliation for Brazil, When you talk about every facet of defending, it is about four levels below rock bottom. It is so bad it is embarrassing. David Luiz is meant to be the leader and he has abandoned ship.
Brazil 0-5 Germany
Sensational half from Germany with FIVE goals.
Brazil have taken a heck of a beating, how do they even galvanise themselves for the second half?
Brazil 0-5 Germany
The crowd come to live as Oscar finds space in the box and spins, but sees his low shot blocked by Jerome Boateng.
Brazil 0-5 Germany
Mesut Ozil curls it over the wall...and over the crossbar.
Not the best effort we have seen today.
Brazil 0-5 Germany
Chance of a sixth here, Luiz Gustavo with a late lunge in on Thomas Muller on the edge of the box...

Ben Ramsdale: Forgot just how insane Germany were in the 2014 World Cup. The demolition of Brazil in a semi-final of that magnitude is something I doubt we will ever see again.
Gareth Tucker: Rewatching the semi final between Brazil & Germany- 6 years later it still makes my jaw drop watching those goals go in now. The most unforgettable match.

It was right about this point that watching the game at the fan park on Copacabana Beach went from being an experience of a lifetime, to a bad idea!

Brazil 0-5 Germany
Ahh, the wrong choice on this occasion.
Germany cut through with ease once more but Miroslav Klose tries to force a pass through to Sami Khedira and it is too heavy.
Thomas Muller was in acres down the right.

Brazil have been absolutely awful.
Brazil 0-5 Germany
As a neutral, you love to a team getting absolutely hammered.
This has got very ugly, very quickly for the Brazilians today.
Brazil 0-5 Germany
"Brazil have been shambolic," says Steve Wilson.
Quite right too, it has been shocking on their part.
Toni Kroos close to a first-half hat-trick but his shot deflects off Fernandinho and just wide of the post.
Brazil 0-5 Germany
Martin Keown
Former England defender in Brazil
I am afraid the dream has gone. Brazil have been blown to smithereens. Khedira is having a field day.

Absolute humiliation.
Sami Khedira
It's FIVE! In 29 minutes! We have never seen anything like this.
Germany cut through with ease, the Brazil defence is non-existent.
Unselfish play from the Germans again as Mesut Ozil can have a shot but cuts it back for Sami Khedira to slide home a finish from 10 yards out.
What? How??! Do I…I don’t know what to say…
Brazil 0-4 Germany
Where do Brazil go from here??
Unbelievable what we are witnessing.

Martin Keown
Former England defender in Brazil
Brazil, without their two main players, is like pulling the plug out of the bath. It is unbelievable, so unprofessional. It’s embarrassing.
It's about restoring pride now, they just have not turned up and the strong backbone is missing from this team.

Brazil are being humiliated, humbled and taken apart.
Toni Kroos
This is just incredible!! it is turning into one of THE great first-half performances we have seen by a team – not so much for Brazil though who are absolutely capitulating without trace.
Toni Kroos has run the show and gets his second within two minutes, exchanging passes with Sami Khedira before tapping in.
The fans in Belo Horizonte – and everyone else watching around the world - are stunned. There are tears everywhere.
