Bournemouth's Adam Smith speaking to PLP: "We should have stopped the quick free-kick and it's difficult with Adama Traore but I should have stopped it. Overall, it's disappointing to concede that goal. We have to keep going, we are in a difficult period. It's a hard one to take.

"We frustrated them in the first half and I think they tried to combine a little more on the right side tactically. I felt we weren't as aggressive as we were in the first half and maybe that was due to fatigue. They were slightly better in the second half.

"It's the most difficult time of my career. In the losing streak, it's difficult to get that momemtum. We just need that bit of luck. Once you're down there, it's so difficult. We just have to keep going. It's a must-win game next, I know we keep saying that, but games are running out and it's tight down there."

Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti: "We had good opportunities to close the game out on the counter but we were in good shape.

Everton

Everton defender Michael Keane tells BBC Sport: "Delighted, the lads have worked hard since we got back and put in a great shift against Liverpool. It is a tough ask on the legs to come a long way three days later and we got what we deserved.

"We changed formation at half-time and it enabled a midfielder to get more on the ball. We are attacking constantly at the start of the second half.

"We are four points off seventh and it is definitely in our grasp and we have seven games remaining. We need to keep getting wins and see where it takes us."

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo speaking to BT Sport: "The first half, for both teams it was tough and both teams were not able to play. Defensive organisation was very tight and the space was not there.

"It was a poor first half in terms of football but in the second half we managed to create a couple of changes. I think we deserved to win. The boys worked very hard and another clean sheet is important for us.

"It's about building and creating solutions going forward. Now we have to rest and on Saturday we have such a tough game so now we have to prepare."

It could have been three points for Aston Villa, quite easily. They were excellent first half and missed some big chances but they lost their way a bit second half. In terms of their attitude and the way they went about the game they'll be delighted but they'll be frustrated with the result.
