Drinks break over at St Mary's too as Mesut Ozil wisely puts up an Arsenal-branded umbrella to give himself a bit of shade on the subs' bench. This sun is fierce.

That was a great chance for Troy Deeney.

He held off his defender, it was a good header but Burnley were set up right and Dwight McNeil cleared it.

Watford have come out flying. They are passing the ball well and Abdoulaye Doucoure has made a huge difference since he came on.

  3. CLOSE!published at 19:27 British Summer Time 25 June 2020

    Burnley 0-0 Watford

BIG clearance off the line by Dwight McNeil as he positions himself in the right place to deny Troy Deeney's header from a corner. Will Hughes then blazes the loose ball over.

Drinks break time. This game could go either way with both sides having had big chances.

    Burnley 0-0 Watford

Watford are looking incredibly sharp at the moment. When it is hot like it is tonight, you only need one or two touches on the ball.

Danny Welbeck has to take that chance. He just had to sort his feet out. It just took too long. When you have a chance to strike the ball take it.

  6. CLOSE!published at 19:22 British Summer Time 25 June 2020

    Burnley 0-0 Watford

Big chance for Danny Welbeck as he races through on goal but James Tarkowski times a tackle to perfection to deny a near-certain goal.

If Liverpool win the league tonight, I will do a Bruce Grobbelaar walk around the garden on my hands 19 times, then pass out with a smile on my face.

Probably squeal at a pitch only audible to dolphins for a bit, then a drink of something cold and refreshing, while singing a certain Gerry and the Pacemakers number.

    Burnley 0-0 Watford

Ooh a nervous moment in the Burnley defence as Nick Pope spills a fairly routine catch but does well to get up quickly and block Craig Cathcart's shot.

  9. Postpublished at 19:19 British Summer Time 25 June 2020

    Southampton 0-1 Arsenal

Arsenal are on the attack again as Nicolas Pepe cuts the ball back for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the ball is intercepted but cleared only as far as Hector Bellerin but his first-time shot is blocked.

The Burnley back four need to start being a bit more physical and a bit more vocal to get their team up the pitch.

Burnley had more than 60% in the first 45 minutes but are yet to really get going in this half. Watford have come out fighting.

The ball by Emiliano Martinez is sensational and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's first touch is outrageous. He was so unlucky with the second.

Pep Guardiola has made six changes. Raheem Sterling, Kevin de Bruyne and Aymeric Laporte return. Gabriel Jesus only on the bench despite Sergio Aguero missing out with a knee injury.

Oh where did that come from!?

Arsenal break quickly and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is in on the right. The forward looks up, spots Eddie Nketiah and tries to square to his team-mate. Jan Bednarek cuts out the pass but almost deflects the ball into his own goal!

It was ambitious from Will Hughes. He should have tried to curl it. It was the wrong type of finish.

    Southampton 0-1 Arsenal

A nice attack by Southampton ends with James Ward-Prowse shooting over from just outside the box. The hosts have made a decent start to the second period.

Arsenal, of course, led against Brighton only to see that game end in defeat. They will determined to avoid a repeat.

Vincent: Southampton will be kicking themselves if they can't take point off Arsenal today. And I'm saying that as a Pompey fan.

Clyne and Lallana are both out of contract with Liverpool once this season ends. Not too proud that I wouldn't welcome them both back to St Mary's for next season.

Will Hughes is allowed space just outside the box and the former Derby man spies an opportunity but skews his shot wide of the post. Worth a go, though.

  20. Postpublished at 19:09 British Summer Time 25 June 2020

Bright start to the second half for Southampton as Kyle Walker-Peters' cross from the right is deflected behind. The corner is sent deep to the far post but Arsenal deal with it.
