  1. goal

GOAL: Bristol 0-1 Cardiffpublished at 16:47 British Summer Time 4 July 2020

    Danny Ward (85 mins)

HUGE goal at Ashton Gate and it's for Cardiff.

Danny Ward comes off the bench to possibly clinch it for the visitors.

Fellow sub Lee Tomlin put in a beutiful ball for Ward who finishes it well, for his seventh goal of the season.

Bristol City's play-off hopes are all but over for another season if it stays this way. Cardiff are well in the play-off mix.

    Huddersfield 0-0 Preston

Ryan Ledson nips in to foil Huddersfield as they built an attack between Chris Willock and Emile Smith-Rowe, beating Lewis O'Brien to a loose ball and mopping up the attack..

At the other end the North Ender put in a corner that Patrick Bauer connected with but couldn't hit the target.

    Bristol City 0-0 Cardiff

We are well into the last 10 minutes of this one.

Both sides are going for it.

    Can anyone break the deadlock?

    Huddersfield 0-0 Preston

Preston throw on Sean Maguire and Jayden Stockley in a bid to awake this game from its slumber.

I wanted to make a pun on the 1990s actor/pop star of the same name as the Preston sub, but I can't think of any of his songs and it's not worth looking it up.

That's what this game has done to me.

    Fulham 0-0 Birmingham

And then Fulham create the best chance of the game.

Joe Bryan puts a teasing ball in from the left which goes all the way across the box.

Anthony Knockaert races onto it... and puts the ball into the side-netting!

    Fulham 0-0 Birmingham

Under 20 minutes to go at Craven Cottage, and Fulham have still only had one effort on target.

Neeskens Kebano has come on for Ivan Cavaleiro as the Whites look for a breakthrough up front.

The final pass has been lacking all afternoon.

    Blackburn 1-3 Leeds

Leeds gave a big chance, Patrick Bamford brought down on the edge of the box by Christian Walton who gets a booking and gives away a free-kick right on the cusp of the box.

Barry Douglas curls it in but it's confidently beaten away with two fists by Walton. Pablo Hernandez was also stood around it and might think he should have had it. Next time no doubt.

    Stoke 3-0 Barnsley

We've had two hat-tricks today, but there won't be one for Stoke striker Tyrese Campbell.

He and fellow goalscorer Sam Vokes are both replaced.

Tom Ince and Lee Gregory are on for the Potters, with the points seemingly safe.

    Bristol City 0-0 Cardiff

Bristol City boss Lee Johnson makes a triple change hoping to make a breakthrough.

Jack Hunt, Filip Benkovic and Benik Afobe all come off for Zak Vyner, Callum O'Dowda and Nahki Wells.

    Huddersfield 0-0 Preston

Can the drinks break bring the necessary gee-up for either of these two teams?

Preston have put a little bit of pressure on but not really any chances worthy of the word, and Huddersfield have scarcely threatened either in the past 10 minutes.

  11. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:33 British Summer Time 4 July 2020

    Bristol City 0-0 Cardiff

Adam Nagy puts in a ball to the back post for Bristol City and Nahki Wells shows superb technique to get an acrobatic effort on goal but Cardiff stopper Alex Smithies is equal to it and pulls off a brilliant save down low to deny the Robins man.

Brilliant from both Wells and Smithies there.

    Blackburn 1-3 Leeds

If you ever needed evidence that Leeds are well stocked for players, then it's the luxury of sending on such talent as Pablo Hernandez with about 30 minutes to go.

Mateusz Klich went close to springing another goal for the visitors but was called offside as he sauntered through. Not happy.

Blackburn have made changes, Jacob Davenport and John Buckley are on.

  13. goal

GOAL: Brentford 3-0 Wiganpublished at 16:32 British Summer Time 4 July 2020

    Said Benrahma (66 mins, hat-trick)

    Said BenrahmaImage source, Getty Images

There may be questions about whether he meant the second, but there is no doubt about this one.

Said Benrahma completes his hat-trick in style with a fierce right-footed drive from just inside the area after a lay-off from Christian Norgaard.

That is the Algerian's second hat-trick of the campaign, and it takes him to 14 goals for the season.

Brentford are keeping up the pressure on second-placed West Brom.

    Brentford 2-0 Wigan

Almost a third for the hosts as Ollie Watkins has two efforts blocked from inside the six yard box by Latics keeper David Marshall and a covering defender.

  15. goal

GOAL: Luton 0-5 Readingpublished at 16:24 British Summer Time 4 July 2020

    Yakou Meite (62 mins)

What a day for Yakou Meite as he bags his fourth and Reading's fifth of the game.

The Ivory Coast forward coolly slots it home after being put through on goal by George Puscas.

If this was a boxing match then Luton would surely throw in the towel but this is football and Luton have to finish the game.

    Sorry Hatters fans.

  16. goal

GOAL: Brentford 2-0 Wiganpublished at 16:24 British Summer Time 4 July 2020

    Said Benrahma (57 mins)

An incredible goal from Said Benrahma. Or is it lucky?

The Algerian controls a long ball forwards on the left flank and then turns the Wigan right-back one way and then the other.

He wriggles free and then stands the ball up towards the far post.

The ball goes over Latics keeper David Marshall and into the top right-hand corner.

Was it a cross or did Benrahma mean it? Either way the Bees have some breathing space.

    Jude BellinghamImage source, Rex Features

The afternoon is over for Blues wonderkid Jude Bellingham.

He could be off to Borussia Dortmund this summer, and the teenage midfielder is replaced by Maikel Kieftenbeld at Craven Cottage.

Half an hour remains for either side to claim all three points.

    Huddersfield 0-0 Preston

Huddersfield have made more subs than they have enjoyed shots on target today.

Emile Smith-Rowe is now on for their third change, Alex Pritchard (who had that aforementioned effort) makes way.

  19. goal

GOAL: Luton 0-4 Readingpublished at 16:19 British Summer Time 4 July 2020

    George Puscas (57 mins)

It's going from bad to worse for the Championship's bottom side.

George Puscas nods it home from Michael Morrison's headed ball across goal.

    Reading are flying.

  20. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:17 British Summer Time 4 July 2020

    Bristol City 0-0 Cardiff

Brilliant build-up play from Cardiff as Junior Hoilett picks out Joe Ralls inside the box but his effort is tipped over the bar by City keeper Daniel Bentley.
