    FT: West Brom 2-2 QPR

The Baggies are heading back to the top flight after just two years in the Championship.

They suffered play-off heartache last year - losing to local rivals Aston Villa on penalties in the semi-finals, but they've got the job done within the regulation 46 games this time, and in truth they've been up there all season long with Leeds.

They've lost only seven times - the fewest in the division.

    Well played, Leeds.

  4. Who goes down?published at 21:45 British Summer Time 22 July 2020

Hull City, Wigan Athletic and Charlton Athletic relegated

After what began as a potential eight-team shoot-out, it ended with five teams breathing a sign of relief and three with their heads in their hands.

Ultimately, Hull City were always odds-on to be relegated and their sixth successive defeat at play-off semi-finalists Cardiff City saw them finish bottom.

Wigan will go down with them unless their appeal against their 12-point deduction for entering administration is successful on 31 July.

A 1-1 draw at home against Fulham was not enough to save them.

Charlton began the evening just outside the bottom three on goal difference but their 4-0 loss at champions Leeds plus wins for Barnsley and Luton send them down.

They have survived thanks to Clark Odour's stoppage-time winner.

They netted in added time in both of their final two games to stay up. An amazing story.
