We are back under way in Northampton.

Can Cheltenham add to their first-half lead courtesy of Charlie Raglan's superb near-post header?

Or can Northampton continue their momentum from just before the break to avoid a first-leg defeat?

    FT: Colchester 1-0 Exeter

Full-back Cohen Bramall scored Colchester's winner, a superb free-kick, to give the U's a slender lead to take into Monday's second leg.

Colchester boss John McGreal said: "Cohen has that in him and it was always going to take something special to win the game.

"It was a brilliant free-kick. It was great technique by Cohen for the goal and that’s something that he works on in training.

"That’s what he can do and he’s shown that he can do that for us."

    FT: Colchester 1-0 Exeter

After his side's 1-0 loss in Colchester in tonight's other League Two play-off semi-final first leg, Exeter boss Matt Taylor said:

"We just didn’t have it quite in our legs and to concede that set piece was disappointing.

"I was actually pleased with our structure and our attitude, we have to improve in possession, we got in some really good positions. It was probably a game a little bit short of quality in attacking areas, but two honest teams and two very well-organised teams defensively.

"We got the positions, we got the opportunities to use the ball, we just weren’t quite slick enough or good enough in possession. Our attacking players worked their socks off but very rarely were they able to beat a Colchester player today."

Here's another angle of the Owen Evans penalty save - not a bad way to return to action after three months away.

    Northampton 0-1 Cheltenham

That stunning Owen Evans save is the final action of this first half and that's been a pretty darn entertaining 45 minutes!

We've had it all. An injured assistant referee, a penalty, a cracking penalty save and a goal against the run of play.

A timely moment for a break, I feel!

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 45+6 mins

    Northampton 0-1 Cheltenham

Northampton are throwing everything but the kitchen sink at Cheltenham at the minute!

James Olayinka draws a stupendous save from Owen Evans and that was so close to an equaliser!

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 45+5 mins

    Northampton 0-1 Cheltenham

Cheltenham, who've looked cagey in the end stages of the first half, had looked to have regained their composure prior to Chris Hussey cynically bringing down Callum Morton near halfway.

Northampton break once again but the set piece is wasted as Robins keeper Owen Evans scoops up the ball.

Vadaine Oliver is denied for the second time in as many minutes. Once again he's combined with Nicky Adams who puts a long ball into the box.

Oliver can't quite work his way on to it but the Northampton striker looks determined to get the Cobblers in on level terms at half-time.

That's better from Northampton and they've come so close to an equaliser!

Vadaine Oliver puts in a thumping strike on the break and draws a save from Owen Evans before Nicky Adams tries his luck on the rebound and wins a corner which Cheltenham eventually clear.

Meanwhile, seven minutes are added on and Michael Duff will want more good defensive work to see his side through to the break.

Northampton establish themselves somewhat in the Cheltenham half of the field and win a corner.

Charlie Goode looks to be pulled down by Will Boyle as the ball comes into the box but referee Marc Edwards waves play on.

Cheltenham have been really impressive since conceding that early penalty and, if anything, it seemed like Owen Evans' save from the spot has spurred them on.

They've dominated possession in the past 10 or 15 minutes and look comfortable on the ball as time ticks down in this first half.

Reuben Reid and Ryan Broom are causing havoc for the Northampton Town defence right now.

Broom finds a pocket of space during another Cheltenham break and feeds Reid to fire goalbound from distance but it's collected by Cobblers keeper Steve Arnold.

As competitive a game of football as I have seen in the past two days and a thriller if you're a neutral. And we're only half an hour in!

Also, credit to my girlfriend who managed to lug our new table and chairs up two flights of stairs and into our first-floor flat while I frantically described that goal, by the way.

Didn't think I'd be writing that during a live text commentary three months ago!

Having seen a replay of that goal, the movement from Charlie Raglan really is something.

He weaved his way through the box so well and got a powerful header in on the ball.

Just like on the training ground and gives Northampton a lot to think about.

    Charlie Raglan

Northampton win yet another throw-in on the right-hand flank and Charlie Goode puts in his third long throw of the match so far.

Cheltenham end up clearing their lines and break upfield and win themselves a corner which Charlie Raglan gets a head onto at the near post to put the visitors ahead.

Who'd have thought they'd be on top when they conceded a penalty just over 10 minutes ago?!

We have the first drink break of this match.

A chance for both sides to take stock during a pretty relentless 20 minutes or so!

  17. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21 mins

    Northampton 0-0 Cheltenham

First booking of the match goes to Northampton as Charlie Goode puts in a late challenge on Ryan Broom.

Cheltenham win a free-kick and Broom does well to put Steve Arnold under pressure but the Cobblers keeper punches clear.

My word, Cheltenham keeper Owen Evans saves Ryan Watson's spot kick!

Watson opted to go low but Evans makes a fine diving effort to deny him.

How relieved must Michael Duff's side be?!

Darren Drysdale has managed to change and reapply his microphone as well as sprint to the far side of the pitch all in the space of about two minutes.

And immediately from the restart there's a penalty to the hosts, given against Ryan Broom for a foul in the box.

There's a break in play as one of the assistant referees Alan Clayton seems to have picked up an injury.

All the talk pre-kick-off was whether the players would be fit enough this evening. Who'd have thought the first stoppage for an injury in this game would be a member of the officiating team!

Fourth official Darren Drysdale is now getting ready on the sidelines to come on in his place.
