That's as far as we go in here on a day Leeds cruised back to the top of the table.

Marcelo Bielsa's men were just on a completely different planet to a struggling Stoke side who, in truth, could have been beaten by more than just five goals.

Leeds are back at the top of the table and now need seven points from four games to be sure of a return to the Premier League. On this form that looks to be a formality.

Stoke can't dwell on this as they face fellow strugglers Birmingham on Sunday in desperate need of points.

We're back tomorrow with another big game between two teams at the wrong end of the table as Huddersfield take on Luton at 18:00 BST, before two promotion chasers - Fulham and Cardiff - meet at 20:15 BST.

Until then, thanks for your company and enjoy your evening.

And that Patrick Bamford goal was just about the last kick of what I have to say is about the most comprehensive win I can remember seeing.

Stoke battled well in the first half but Tommy Smith felled Helder Costa to give Leeds a penalty in the final minute of the first half and, after Mateusz Klich put the hosts in front, this game was only going one way.

Costa made it two, Liam Cooper made it three and sub Pablo Hernandez stroked home a wonderful fourth before Bamford put the cherry on the cake.

Leeds are top and need seven points from four games to secure promotion to the Premier League.

For Stoke, this damaging defeat leaves them one place above the relegation zone.

    Patrick Bamford

Another stunning finish wraps this one up.

Luke Ayling plays a ball over the top to Patrick Bamford and he waits for it to fall perfectly into his stride, before hitting a fierce low left-footer past Jack Butland and in after hitting both posts.

Into three minutes of time added on.

Stoke are having a bit of a go at trying to make the scoreline a bit kinder and James McClean fires over from 18 yards out.

    Leeds 4-0 Stoke

The gulf between these two sides in the second half has been vast.

Leeds have totally taken Stoke apart, almost at will.

It's a trip to Wales and Swansea on Sunday for Marcelo Bielsa's table-topping men.

A Brentford defeat at Derby on Saturday, coupled with a Whites win, will leave Leeds nine points clear with three games to play.

Leeds take off skipper, and scorer of today's third goal, Liam Cooper for Gaetano Berardi.

This is all fizzling out rather now but Leeds have played some superb stuff today.

    Leeds 4-0 Stoke

Stoke take off Sam Clucas for Jordan Thompson.

It's just damage limitations for the Potters now.

As I said earlier (about two hours ago) Stoke host managerless Birmingham on Sunday.

They're going to have to dust themselves down quickly and take something from that because they're one point above the bottom three.

PD31: Hard to say Leeds benefited most from lockdown. Had won 5 straight before and took a while to get back in the groove. Probably Brentford seem to have benefited most.

Brentford are doing all they can to keep the pressure on. Still four games of the season to go...

    Leeds 4-0 Stoke

A couple more Leeds changes with the game all wrapped up.

Mateusz Klich, who got the hosts on their way, and Jack Harrison are off and Jamie Shackleton and Ezgjan Alioski are on.

Leeds have one change left to use.

  11. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 74 mins

    Leeds 4-0 Stoke

Leeds bring on Barry Douglas for Stuart Dallas and Stoke throw on Lasse Sorensen for Nick Powell.

I'd say Douglas is probably slightly more pleased to be entering the action...

Jack Tanner: Are Leeds the team to have benefited most from the three-month lockdown break?

They seemed to run out of steam in the final weeks of last season but, on this evidence, there's no sign of any burnout this term.

    Pablo Hernandez

    That's just brilliant.

Luke Ayling releases Helder Costa down the Leeds right, he looks up and plays it back to the edge of the area for Patrick Bamford to dummy and Pablo Hernandez to expertly place a shot past Jack Butland from 20 yards.

Leeds are going top in some style.

Seven points from their last four games will guarantee Premier League football at Elland Road next season.

Leeds go from one end to the other after a Stoke corner and Jack Harrison's low shot is kicked out at his near post by Jack Butland.

Second drinks break now and my, do Stoke need it.

    Leeds 3-0 Stoke

Stoke's goal difference prior to this game was quite a lot better than the other teams around them at the bottom of the league.

I say "was" - if this gets any worse then they'll slip below Charlton to 21st in the table.

They'd defended so well up until the last minute of the first half but since conceding that penalty for Tommy Smith's foul on Helder Costa they've been all over the place and are probably fortunate not to be more than three behind.

    Leeds 3-0 Stoke

Stoke boss Michael O'Neill replaces forwards Tyrese Campbell and Sam Vokes with Lee Gregory and Mame Biram Diouf.

It's turning into a day to forget for the Potters, who will stay just one point above the relegation zone.

    Should be four!

Pablo Hernandez plays in Stuart Dallas who is denied by Jack Butland.

The ball comes back out to Mateusz Klich and the Pole should either hit the target or tee up Patrick Bamford but slashes at it and Stoke get away with it.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 58 mins

    Leeds 3-0 Stoke

Stoke defender Bruno Martins Indi is booked for a trip on Helder Costa.

That's about as close as a visiting player has got to any Leeds player this half.

    Liam Cooper

    Leeds ARE running riot now!

The hosts keep possession after playing a short corner and after working it from left to right Pablo Hernandez is played in behind the Stoke defence.

The Spaniard keeps his cool to tee up skipper Liam Cooper to smash home a confident finish.

    A wonderful goal.

    Leeds 2-0 Stoke

Nick Powell does well to work a cross in from the Stoke right that Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier punches away.

That's about as good as it's been from the Potters since the opening five minutes.
