That has really knocked the stuffing out of Norwich and it is Brighton now looking to add to their lead. Norwich need to keep their heads, a second goal would be disastrous.

Now it is Brighton's turn to attack as the game opens up a bit.

Aaron Mooy slips a ball through the defence and Leandro Trossard goes down as he tries to get away. Foul? Referee says no, VAR has a look and stands by the original decision.

Nice turn by Emiliano Buendía, who then sends Onel Hernandez on his way on the right. The winger gets into the box but hammers a shot over the bar.

Hernandez has been lively in these opening stages.

Lewis Dunk thumps the ball up field for Brighton as the Seagulls look to fashion a rare attack but Neal Maupay can't keep the ball in play.

Norwich have had 58% possession and have made a really good start to the game. Brighton are struggling to get out of their own half but the hosts really need to make all this good play count. Too many times they've played well without reward this season.

Again Norwich come forward as Onel Hernandez wriggles his way into the box, has a bit of a gap and goes for goal but a Brighton player gets in the way just in time and blocks the shot.

Now Norwich switch their attack to down the left as Onel Hernandez and Jamal Lewis link up before the latter sends the ball into the area. It is cleared but this is good from Norwich now. They are the side in control.

Better from Norwich now as Max Aarons gets the better of Dan Burn down the right but his low ball into the area is cut out.

Max Aarons and Emiliano Buendia try to make something happen on the right but they are closed down quickly by three Brighton players and Norwich are forced to restart and rethink their attack.

An early opportunity for the visitors as they win a free kick on the right, just over midway inside the Norwich half. Aaron Mooy lofts the ball into the area, it is headed away but only as far as Aaron Connolly, who thumps a strong effort over.

Brighton have settled better in these very early stages.
