  1. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 31 mins

    Tottenham 1-1 Arsenal

Good grief what a hit! Ben Davies gets the ball square, he must be 30 yards out if he's a day, and he cracks an absolute beauty on the run. Erik Edman-esque!

Loads of wobble on the shot and it thumps against the face of the bar. Emi Martinez may have got a feather of a touch on that. I can't tell on my replay.

Both managers will be looking at the defending and saying 'it's not acceptable'.

This game is different. It's a north London derby behind closed doors but you have to get your mind in the right place to play properly.

Serge Aurier now wins a corner at the other end for Spurs, I should point out. Spurs on top at the moment.

  4. Postpublished at 27 mins

    Tottenham 1-1 Arsenal

A better game than most post-lockdowm so far, bad defending always = entertainment. Serge Aurier now gives away a needless corner.

Evan: I wonder if Arsenal will extend David Luiz's contract. What's that? Oh. Well, never mind then.

Tom: Despite so many things in the world being different now, I can still nip to the loo and miss two goals. Some things will never change.

Jonathan Pearce is having a good old rant about drinks breaks and the five subs thing. He's right as well.

Harry Kane is in on goal after a sublime pass but he's offside. We go to drinks.

Bresla: David Luiz quickly undoing any good work from his strikers.

    Carl: Good old Arsenal defence.

Sam: Luiz or Aurier? Who is worse?

  10. Game worthy of a full housepublished at 16:53 British Summer Time 12 July 2020

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Crowd or no crowd this is a typical north London derby. It has had everything so far.

Alexandre Lacazette produced a real "wow" goal but then we had a moment of quality from Son.

    Really good game.

    Matt Upson

You just cannot believe the goal that Arsenal have given away.

It is beyond sloppy. It is not the best pass from Sead Kolasinac but David Luiz is on his heels again. He was not ready for the ball.

Son Heung-min is quick and pounces on it. It is such a gift.

Arsenal's defence looks as sturdy as a nice Sunday evening bowl of instant whip. Moussa Sissoko is almost presented with another chance straight away.

There were two minutes and 17 seconds between the two goals.

    Son (19 mins)

Sead Kolasinac, what have you done there?! If you're in a back three with Mustafi and Luiz surely your job is just to keep quiet and not do anything silly.

Instead Kolasinac plays a blind backpass the wrong side of David Luiz, Son is on to it, sprints past the blameless Brazilian (on this occasion) and then chips nicely over Emiliano Martinez and in.

    Superbly taken. A gift.

  14. 'It is one heck of a strike'published at 16:49 British Summer Time 12 July 2020

    Tottenham 0-1 Arsenal

    Matt Upson
Former England and West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

You are talking about a player in Alexandre Lacazette who is really trying to cement himself as the number one centre forward in his team.

If he scores more goals like that he will. It is one heck of a strike and Hugo Lloris has no chance.

  15. goal

GOAL - Tottenham 0-1 Arsenalpublished at 16:47 British Summer Time 12 July 2020

    Alexandre Lacazette (16 mins)

Blimey what a goal that is! Serge Aurier's touch is heavy, Granit Xhaka reads it and makes a strong tackle 25 yards from the Spurs goal. The ball runs into the path of Alexandre Lacazette who just takes one touch and then hits a barnstormer of a shot into the top corner. Hugo Lloris well and truly beaten for pace.

Dani Ceballos goes down off the ball after a raised arm from Gio lo Celso, but that's very soft. Lo Celso is actually booked once play is allowed to carry on.

It was a real uncharacteristic miss from Aubameyang. It was like he didn't straighten his feet out to make the right contact.

  19. CLOSE!published at 13 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Arsenal

There are few things more entertaining for the neutral than David Luiz having one of those days. We'll see.

Better from Arsenal now who go close, Hector Bellerin drives down the right too easily and puts in a good low cross. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is on the move in the penalty area and has an air swipe at it, and on the follow-up Kieran Tierney fires across goal.

    A good chance each.

  20. 'Luiz hasn't got his head on'published at 16:42 British Summer Time 12 July 2020

    Tottenham 0-0 Arsenal

    Matt Upson
Former England and West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

I was a bit worried about David Luiz from the first kick of the game and he has not quite got his head on yet. You have to lock on and know where you man is and Harry Kane just pulled off his shoulder.

That first moment of the game was like a marker for him but can he now shake himself out of it?
