Christian Benteke has been sent off AFTER FULL-TIME?!

There's a coming together of players after the whistle goes and once the dust settles Martin Atkinson calls over Benteke and shows the Palace striker a red card.

Looking at the replay, it seems he kicks a leg out at a Villa player. He is a former Villan himself, of course.

Atkinson stayed out on the pitch, with all the players heading down the tunnel, seemingly waiting for a VAR review... no word on the decision.

Trezeguet's goals have given Villa huge hope.

The talk was that this was a must win game and it is heading in that direction now.

Anwar El Ghazi is picked out by Jack Grealish with a long, floating diagonal ball but Joel Ward recovers well and robs it off him.

That's him done now too!

Trezeguet is replaced by Anwar El Ghazi.

It's a fantastic ball in from Matt Targett and it only needs a touch off Trezeguet, who has come sliding in and is just a few yards out.

He somehow misses it and Keinan Davis, who is following up behind him, only has a second to react and also misses the ball!

Trezeguet is fuming as he would have got a hat-trick. He slams the grass in frustration... twice.

Crystal Palace were on top but Villa have responded by making a couple of changes that will break the game up.

Jack Grealish plays a low corner in and Ahmed El Mohamady swings and misses it at the near post.

Conor Hourihane, who was involved in both goals, is off alongside Mbwana Samatta.

On comes Keinan Davis and Marvelous Nakamba.

Wilfried Zaha whips it in from the left. It comes through to Andros Townsend and he lifts it into the six-yard box.

Scott Dann is unmarked and ready to nod it into an almost-empty net but Christian Benteke gets there first, is stretching and can't control his header. He ends up heading it way wide and Dann is absolutely furious behind him.

Did he shout? Did Benteke hear him or just ignore him anyway? That would have been a goal otherwise.
