Jack Grealish's free-kick is a poor one on the right - failing to beat the first man. Villa retain possession but John McGinn won't reach a long ball over on the left.

Villa win the ball back in the middle. Jack Grealish takes over and slips it left to Conor Hourihane.

He has space to shoot but Joel Ward does well to come across and get the block in. That was a nice move from Villa!

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson speaking to Sky Sports:

“It [racism] has been highlighted at the moment anyway with the Black Lives Matter movement and everyone seems to be making such an effort to eradicate this behaviour.

“It’s very sad that on the day of a game a player should wake up to this cowardly and despicable abuse.

“The club and the Premier League are doing everything they can to identify this despicable individual. There is literally no excuse. It is totally inexcusable.”

  12. 'We have more goal threat'published at 14:06 British Summer Time 12 July 2020

Aston Villa v Crystal Palace (14:15 BST)

    Aston Villa

Aston Villa boss Dean Smith speaking to Sky Sports: "Conor Hourihane has a great set-piece delivery and he's a goalscorer too. The quality in the final third hasn't been there. We have more of a goal threat with him and the front three.

"A lot has been made of it [the penalty decision in the defeat to Man Utd]. We can't change it. It was their first shot on goal and then in the second half they were much better than us.

"Up until that moment we felt we were the main aggressors. We have to take a lot from the first half an hour. We have just played against Liverpool and Manchester United and felt we competed well against them."

Palace are on a horrible run of four straight defeats, but I don't think they are playing that badly.

Aston Villa badly need a win, but I don't think they will get it. They also look as if they could do with a bit of a break, but they are not going to get that either.

    Prediction: 1-1

Simon: If we had a miss of the season that Traore chance would be my pick!

Bob: I especially admire how Wolves attracted a Champions League manager and several players to a club that finished 18th in the Championship, all for peanuts. Bilston Market must be exceptional.

Rachel: My nearly-5-year-old daughter has just said she’d rather watch the Wolves match than Frozen 2 and I’ve never been more proud!

I said in commentary, 'what a pass', Ruben Neves just pinged it for the third goal. Diogo Jota had a lot of hard work to do. But credit to Neves, I think he was the catalyst for Wolves all afternoon.
