Bruno Fernandes is a brilliant penalty taker. He has different styles. He gives the keeper no chance. The technique is fantastic.

GOAL - Man Utd 1-0 FC Copenhagenpublished at 22:05 British Summer Time 10 August 2020

    Bruno Fernandes pen (95 mins)

    No mistake!

Bruno Fernandes smashes it past Karl-Johan Johnsson, no stopping that one. He also did not do his little jump before taking the spot kick, which may have caught out Johnsson.

That was Manchester United's 21st penalty of the season.

Nice link up between Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial and for a moment the latter looks in but he just runs out of space as Victor Nelsson does enough to put off the forward.

Chris Brown: 0-0? What's going on? Did Utd miss their penalty?

Stuart: Sounds strange perhaps, but I genuinely wish we had a Ji-sung (3 lungs) Park right now, his tirelessness was made for this type of game.

    We're back under way.

    Darren Fletcher
Former Man Utd midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

The heat is playing a big part in the tiredness tonight. United haven't been at their best at all. They are a little bit off it mentally, haven't been quite as sharp and the heat is playing it's part.

It was an even game. There weren't too many clear-cut chances. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be demanding more. Copenhagen defended really well.

That was brilliant defending from Victor Nelsson. Anthony Martial went past two or three players. But Nelsson went in and went to ground and had to win the ball. Fantastic from the defender, nearly brilliant from Martial.

All over in Dusseldorf and Inter Milan are into the Europa League semi-finals!

  13. Postpublished at 21:53 British Summer Time 10 August 2020

What a goal this would have been!

Anthony Martial weaves his way past Copenhagen players as he dances through the box. It deserves a goal but Victor Nelsson puts in a superb block to deny the forward.

The 90 minutes are up and there's three minutes of stoppage time.

  14. Postpublished at 21:52 British Summer Time 10 August 2020

    Man Utd 0-0 FC Copenhagen

Is it a shot? It is it a cross? Whatever it is, it goes out for a throw as Aaron Wan-Bissaka smashes the ball across the face of goal.

That effort just about sums up Manchester United's night - frustrating.

Seconds of normal time left and I can't see how we are not going to extra time here.

You just think take a touch and shoot! He took a touch then delayed his shot. I think he's been off it tonight, Bruno Fernandes.

Christian Eriksen goes down inside the area and Inter Milan are awarded a penalty.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:46 British Summer Time 10 August 2020

    Man Utd 0-0 FC Copenhagen

    SAVE! Incredible save!

Anthony Martial whips a curled effort that looks for all the world to be on its way into the back of the net but Karl-Johan Johnsson flings himself across his goalline to get a strong hand and push the ball over.

  20. Postpublished at 21:45 British Summer Time 10 August 2020

    Man Utd 0-0 FC Copenhagen

Marcus Rashford hits a speculative effort from distance over the bar after FC Copenhagen have half-hearted appeals for a penalty waved away.

Both teams are looking really tired now with eight minutes remaining. Looking like we are heading to extra time unless someone can muster something.
