    Catch you then!

    FT: Alaves 0-5 Barcelona

While it looks like Lionel Messi will hold off competition from Karim Benzema to claim a record seventh La Liga golden boot, the Argentine's assist today means he has eclipsed Xavi to set a new La Liga record of 21 assists in a single campaign.

    Can he please play forever?

    Alaves 0-5 Barcelona

A classy performance from Barcelona, who finish the season with 82 points.

Real Madrid can finish seven points clear of their rivals with victory over Leganes this evening (20:00 BST).

Alaves already knew they were safe, so this result won't hurt too much.

    Alaves 0-5 Barcelona

A lovely pass from Lionel Messi picks out the run of Martin Braithwaite, but the Barca striker runs out of room in front of goal and the ball is smothered by Alaves keeper Roberto.

Four minutes of added time to come folks.

    Alaves 0-5 Barcelona

    Ah so close to six!

Braithwaite finally gets his opening but fires his shot across goal from the left and is unable to pick out the opposite corner.

Alaves captain Adrian Marin isn't able to continue and the hosts will finish the game with 10-men.

    Alaves 0-5 Barcelona

Martin Braithwaite is working hard to create an opportunity before the end here, weaving around the Alaves defenders as his team-mates take their time on the ball.

They don't seem to be on the same wavelength.

    Alaves 0-5 Barcelona

It looked like Alaves would have to play the final five minutes with 10-men as captain Adrian Marin headed off the pitch with a knock there, but the left-back is going to see the game out despite whatever trouble he is having.

    Alaves 0-5 Barcelona

The free-kick is initially cleared by Barcelona but the ball falls to Joselu on the far side and the striker blasts a powerful shot across the face of Neto's goal.

It could have gone anywhere, but it hasn't been Alaves' day in front of goal.

    Alaves 0-5 Barcelona

With their hopes of avoiding further damage in the second half gone, Alaves are looking to get on the scoresheet in the final 10 minutes.

They've won a free-kick to the right of the Barca penalty area...

Luis Suarez has appeared to be struggling with a slight problem at times, but it's Ansu Fati who makes way for Martin Braithwaite.

    Drinks break time.

Martin Braithwaite is going to come on.

    Lionel Messi

    It's 25 for Mr. Messi!

Surely Karim Benzema has no chance of catching Lionel Messi in the golden boot race now as Messi moves four ahead of the Frenchman.

It's a really well taken goal too - Jordi Alba swings in a cross from the left and Messi catches it on the half-volley to make it five for Barca.

    Alaves 0-4 Barcelona

Training match vibes at the Mendizorrotza Stadium as we enter the final 20 minutes of the game.

Barcelona are knocking the ball around nicely without trying to force anything in the final third, while Alaves look happy to sit and avoid any further damage.

    Alaves 0-4 Barcelona

Martin Braithwaite is getting ready to come on for Barcelona as the visitors earn a free-kick deep in the Alaves half.

Barca opt to play it short rather than push for another attempt at goal but Alaves force them back.

Luis Suarez isn't moving too well and it looks like he'll be the one to make way for Braithwaite.

    Alaves 0-4 Barcelona

A rare break for Alaves sees Edgar Mendez closing in on Neto's goal, but the winger is flagged for offside.

  18. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 64 mins

    Alaves 0-4 Barcelona

Frenkie de Jong has come on for Sergio Busquets in the Barcelona midfield, while Ljubomir Fejsa and Abdallahi Mahmoud have joined the action for Alaves.

    Alaves 0-4 Barcelona

Alaves are still trying to drive forward and get a goal for themselves here, but Barcelona have looked rock-solid at the back even with midfielder Arturo Vidal now back filling in as a central defender.

    Nelson Semedo

That's a cracking finish from Nelson Semedo.

I was just writing about how Barcelona were just cruising in this second half, but in the blink of an eye they add to their tally.

It's another assist for the young Riqui Puig who has looked really promising so far today, but the goal is all about Semedo who blasts the ball beyond the reach of Roberto.
