    Man of the match vote

Patryk Klimala's goalscoring cameo performance won him second place in your man of the match vote, but it is no surprise that hat-trick man Odsonne Edouard leads the poll.

It is also no surprise that Hamilton goalkeeper Ryan Fulton got highest marks for the visitors.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has praised his side despite their "passive" first half.

"We got a great response in the second half," he tells BBC Radio Scotland.

"Considering it’s the first game in four or five months, it’s a brilliant return. I think that stands us in good stead as we go on."

Odsonne Edouard scored a hat-trick and the Celtic boss suggested that it is "pivotal" the French striker remains at the club.

"Odsonne’s got off to a brilliant start, three strikers goals," he says.

"We don’t want him to go anywhere. That's what's pleased me over the last 12 to 18 months, his goal return as well as all the other things he brings to the game.

"He would be the first to say it was a real team effort today."

Hamilton head coach Brian Rice has mixed feelings after a heavy defeat in which he saw some positives.

"I am disappointed to lose five goals, but Hamilton will not be judged in games against Celtic," he tells BBC Radio Scotland.

"We created a lot of chances and we scored as well, but you have to be clinical and you've got to keep the back door shut.

"There was a bit of naivity there and Celtic didn't have to work too hard for it. But there is a belief in that dressing-room and, although we lost heavily, we'll get better."

Just after half time, Celtic upped the tempo. There was a little bit missing first half, but Hamilton couldn't stay with them in the second. Even though it was 5-1, Brian Rice will be happy in many ways

It's a great finish from Patryk Klimala. Hitting it early always makes it difficult for the goalkeeper. He looked very quick there as well

Another five-star performance fit for champions on their flag day. And another indication that Celtic will do well to hang on to Odsonne Edouard with the world alerted again to the French striker's talents following his opening-day hat-trick.

Hamilton will have taken heart from their first-half performance, when they could count themselves unfortunate to be 2-1 behind.

However, once Celtic upped the tempo after the break, there was only going to be one winner as Neil Lennon's side emphasised to the rest of the Premiership that it will take something special to deny them a historic 10th league title in a row.
