    Game over. Ruthless. Brutal.

Arsenal have two in two minutes and they're surely through to the semi-finals.

Vivianne Miedema slips a lovely through ball in to Lisa Evans in the area and Evans slots in to the bottom corner. The assist is brilliant, the finish is calm, the Gunners are 2-0 up.

    Jordan Nobbs

Brilliant finish! Arsenal break the deadlock.

Spurs defender Ashleigh Neville gifts away possession, passing the ball straight in to England star Jordan Nobbs' path, around 20 to 25 yards out, and Nobbs spots Becky Spencer off her line and superbly lobs the keeper. Class.

    Arsenal 0-0 Tottenham

Spurs midfielder Chloe Peplow has picked up a knock to her ankle but is persevering for the time being.

On the bench, I don't think we've seen Alex Morgan sent to warm up just yet. She hasn't played of course for a year, having given birth to her daughter on 7 May.

In case you're wondering, the winner of this finely-balanced tie will face either Leicester City or holders Manchester City in the last four on Thursday.

That semi-final will be live on BBC Two - just like this game is.

You wonder how long it might be now before Spurs bring on new signing Alex Morgan, assuming they feel she is fit enough, after such a long period without a competitive game. The game is there for the taking.

Arsenal have England's Beth Mead on the bench. Not a bad option either!

I think Joe Montemurro will be pleased with Arsenal's effort and enthusiasm in the first half but I don't think they have found their rhythm and fluidity like they have shown in previous games.

They like to dominate the ball and they haven't done that in this game.

Scotland's Kim Little goes short from the corner this time and the Gunners work the ball across to the opposite flank, but Spurs defend the second phase really well and the ball is cleared.

"I want to win silverware and be challenging for silverware," Kirk told BBC Sport.

"More importantly, for the club it's more steps in the right direction in terms of to getting us back towards where we were a number of years ago, which was consistently challenging for trophies.

Former Leicester City striker Emile Heskey says he did not hesitate to accept a return to the club in a role working with the Foxes' women's side.

The 42-year-old ex-England front man has started an ambassadorial, coaching and mentoring role with the second-tier team, who recently turned professional.

The lowest-ranked side left in the cup, Leicester host the holders Manchester City in the quarter-finals tomorrow [14:00 BST].
