What a run that is. Positive driving at the defenders. She gets past Millie too easily. That's what you want - positive from Chloe Kelly, driving at defenders. Once you get into the area nobody wants to bring you down. She's got to be more selfish.

Oh, Chloe Kelly will be gutted at this outcome. She picks up the ball wide left and drives at Chelsea, committing players in front of her and beating them at ease. It's Ricky Villa type stuff when she gets in the box but instead of shooting herself and capping the whole thing she passes for Beckie to tap in. Problem is, Beckie is a yard offside.

Yep, that is the end of Hemp's game. Janine Beckie, scorer of five goals in 24 games last season is on in her place.

That's a shame for Hemp, and for the game. She was looking dangerous when the ball was fed to her out wide.

This does not look good. Lauren Hemp could well have pulled a hamstring. If so, her day is done. It was off the ball and she pulled up chasing.

Georgia Stanway unleashes an effort from range and forces Berger into a diving, clawing save to keep it out. The 2019 PFA Young Player of the Year isn't shy of a punt. It'd have been a superb way to break this deadlock.

On Fran Kirby...

Top players go through peaks and troughs. Top players come through it - and she has. She's got to keep working hard, keep her head down and the quality will shine through.

Chelsea with a rare dart forward. They play some neat stuff but Kirby is caught offside. Good to see her back playing. She only managed six games last season as a result of her health problems. On her day, though, she can decide a game.

19-year-old Esme Morgan has had a confident start at right-back for Manchester City. She's just flicked it past Sam Kerr under pressure and made a brilliant overlapping run down the right. It was a decent cross too but Ann-Katrin Berger has been catching everything in the box so far. The three young English players - Morgan, Lauren Hemp and Chloe Kelly, have been very good so far. Phil Neville is watching on too...

Who will win the title?

I think probably Chelsea because they have had this team together for a while. But I do think it's going to be between these two teams.

Should Kerr have scored in the first five minutes? Have a look and decide for yourself...

City are getting most joy from big diagonal balls out wide. Chelsea are deep and compact so that is where the space is. The latest pumped pass finds Hemp, but instead of going outside she cuts inside into a packed area and loses the ball.

Lauren Hemp has been bright so far. Every time she's had the ball, she's run at defenders and tried to get into the box. But Chelsea are dangerous on the break and Ji So-yun moved through midfield with pace in that previous move. Fran Kirby has just done the same now. Man City need to be wary of that, especially while they're playing a high defensive line.

Another City corner is punched away by Berger. Chelsea break and almost fashion an opportunity for Kerr. Take a bow Ji So-yun for a very cheeky nutmeg before a cross that is booted clear.

City playing some nice stuff to work their way into the box and almost a shooting chance for Georgia Stanway. But just as she is about to unleash her effort, the ball is nicked off her toe.

Scott is now back on, thankfully. She played in the last Community Shield before this one, in 2008. Would have been a real shame had she been forced out of this one so early.

Jill Scott has taken a serious tumble down by the byline following a challenge with a Chelsea defender. She doesn't look in good shape after whipping her head quickly back.

With Scott still down, Guro Reiten floats a cross onto the roof of the net from a decent position for Chelsea.

You expect Sam Kerr there to at least hit the target. She's got to go across goal with the inside of her foot. By her standards she should be hitting the target at least.
