  1. goal

GOAL - Wolves 0-2 Man Citypublished at 32 mins

    Phil Foden

    What a goal.

City with a slick move that cuts Wolves open to double their advantage.

Phil Foden starts and finishes the intricate passing exchange, finding Gabriel Jesus who lays it for Kevin de Bruyne.

The Belgian slides it through to Raheem Sterling on goal and he can shoot, but elects to rolls it across for fellow England international Foden to convert into a open net from 12 yards out.

    Delightful.

21 mins draw comment - still a lot of time for Wolves to get an equaliser.

    Adam

Oh yeh, this could still end as a draw. Haha.

Why are so many of you hating on the comment on 21 minutes about there being no draws????

    Wolves 0-1 Man City

Since the start of last season, Kevin de Bruyne has been involved in the most Premier League goals (34 - 14 goals, 20 assists), two more than Liverpool's Mohamed Salah.

    Wolves 0-1 Man City

Romain Saiss did lunge in but was there any contact?

It looked more like Kevin de Bruyne leaving a trailing leg in to make sure he went down.

  9. All or nothingpublished at 21 mins

    Wolves 0-1 Man City

That Kevin de Bruyne goal means there will be no draws in the opening two rounds of the new season.

So Sterling takes a tumble in the box and wants a penalty, but VAR says there was no contact, so no penalty. All good, but doesn't that mean he dived and should be booked ? I guess diving is now considered an acceptable part of the game?

    Alan in Seaton

    Probably Alan.

    That wasn't in the script.

Marcal came over to his manager Nuno Espirito Santo, obviously said something was wrong and Ruben Vinagre immediate got ready to come on.

The Brazilian headed straight down the tunnel. Not the way the £2m summer arrival from Lyon must have expected his evening to go.

A memorable home debut for all the wrong reasons.

  16. CLOSE!published at 12 mins

    Wolves 0-0 Man City

Kevin de Bruyne steps up and laces towards goal from 25 yards out.

It is a dipping strike but Wolves goalkeeper Rui Patricio can push it away from goal.

A good effort matched by a good save.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 7 mins

    Wolves 0-0 Man City

A very early change for Wolves.

A nightmare home debut for summer signing Marcal, who looks to have picked up a knock.
