Despite the injuries, the setup Aberdeen have looks very good. I think they're set up for a successful season but a European run would be the icing on the cake.

  2. No scoring as Celtic & Motherwell await opponentspublished at 19:16

Lac 0-0 Hapoel Beer Sheva, Riga 0-0 Tre Fiori

Should Motherwell progress this evening, they will face Albania's Lac or Israel's Hapoel Beer Sheva next week. There are no goals between Lac and Hapoel at half-time.

Latvia's Riga or San Marino's Tre Fiori will host Celtic in the third qualifying round tie and it's goalless between those sides in Riga.

  5. Rangers 'didn't get out of first gear'published at 19:10

FT: Lincoln Red Imps 0-5 Rangers

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard declared the 5-0 victory over Lincoln Red Imps as "professional and job done" - setting up a tie with Willem II next week.

Gerrard told RangersTV: "That was the plan coming here, we wanted to get a win, clean sheet and move on to the next fixture because the couple of weeks are going to be a lot more important and a lot more difficult.

"It was about getting through. We scored five good goals. Really, we didn't get out of first gear, I don't think it was a good performance. In think we made it complicated for the majority of it. I thought the goals were outstanding. We'll take the positives and move on."

    Coleraine v Motherwell (19:30)

Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson says he's "well aware" of the threat posed by Coleraine tonight.

"We have to be very much up for it and take our game to Coleraine," he said. "We'll be favourites to win the game and I'm sure we'll have a lot of possession of the ball.

"We have to have an end product and it might not be in the first 10 minutes when you win the game.

"You need to show a lot of patience and persevere with our beliefs."
