    Leicester 0-0 Arsenal

Goals in every game but the biggest match of the night (on paper) is letting us down.

    Typical.

  2. goal

    Richarlison

    It's all about Alex Iwobi's back-heel!

Another delicious move and after a sweeping pass Richarlison plays a delightful one-two with Iwobi who back-heels the ball for the Brazilian to smash home his second.

    Lovely stuff.

    Fleetwood 0-1 Everton

    Everton are up for this.

They're hungry, they're motivated and they're turning on the style.

Just before Richarlison scored, Alex Iwobi struck the bar and moments ago Bernard went close to doubling the lead.

  4. RED CARD - Toumani Diagouragapublished at 20:18 British Summer Time 23 September 2020

    Morecambe 0-4 Newcastle

Toumani Diagouraga is late on Sean Longstaff and he's off his feet. He's straight off.

  5. goal

GOAL - Preston 0-1 Brightonpublished at 20:15 British Summer Time 23 September 2020

    Alireza Jahabakhsh (57 mins)

Lovely finish to break the deadlock.

The ball comes across the box for Iranian winger Alireza Jahabakhsh to side-foot home a first-time finish back across the goalkeeper.

    Kai Havertz

New boy Kai Havertz is off the mark!

It's a brilliant goal too. Mason Mount feeds it through to Tammy Abraham. He steps over it and lets it roll through to Havertz.

He coolly slots it past the keeper and into the right corner.

    Classy.

    Joelinton

Becoming a very bad night for Morecambe...

Joelinton comes in from the left and curls it into the top corner from just outside the box.

    Millwall 0-1 Burnley

As it stands, Burnley will be hosting either holders Manchester City or Bournemouth in the fourth round next week.

    Preston 0-0 Brighton

Billy Bodin spots Jason Steele off his line and has a go from long range but it's never going in.

Alexis MacAllister then comes close for Brighton at the other end but his strike from just outside the box goes wide.

  10. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 20:12 British Summer Time 23 September 2020

    Leicester 0-0 Arsenal

Arsenal want a penalty as Bukayo Saka goes down in the box under pressure from Daniel Amartey.

The Leicester man was the wrong side, very clumsy challenge and the Gunners are rightly to feel aggrieved there.

  11. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:12 British Summer Time 23 September 2020

    Fleetwood 0-1 Everton

Josh Morris is going full pelt as he bursts into Everton's half before being sent crashing by Fabian Delph. An easy decision for the ref to make.

  12. What a miss!published at 20:11 British Summer Time 23 September 2020

    Chelsea 1-0 Barnsley

    Mason Mount! How!

Kai Havertz slips it through to him in the box and he just needs to put it either side of the keeper. He ends up firing it wide of the left post.

    Got to score from there.

  13. goal

GOAL - Morecambe 0-3 Newcastlepublished at 20:09 British Summer Time 23 September 2020

    Jacob Murphy

Jacob Murphy has been excellent for Newcastle in this opening half an hour. He robs the ball in midfield, drives through the centre and slots it into the bottom left corner.

    Game over surely?

Goals are flowing, that's more like it.

  15. goal

    Richarlison

    It's been coming!

A move made and finished in Brazil as Bernard's classy pass over the top of the Fleetwood defence finds Richarlison who heads into the net.

That was a move straight off the training field.

    Tammy Abraham

Against the run of play really...

Tammy Abraham pounces on a mistake at the back by Barnsley and rounds it off with a nice finish.

Frank Lampard isn't happy though. His team have been poor.

    Morecambe 0-2 Newcastle

    Rob Green
Former West Ham and England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Two best players on the pitch, Jacob Murphy and Miguel Almiron. Murphy the provider, Almiron times his run to perfection and has all the space in the world. Newcastle have done the hard work now, I think it's too much for Morecambe already.

  18. Postpublished at 20:05 British Summer Time 23 September 2020

    Preston 0-0 Brighton

No changes at half time at Deepdale. It's been a slow start to both halves.

  19. Postpublished at 20:04 British Summer Time 23 September 2020

    Fleetwood 0-0 Everton

Loads and loads of Everton possession but they have yet to seriously test keeper Alex Cairns. Fleetwood are doing a decent job at the back.

  20. goal

GOAL - Morecambe 0-2 Newcastlepublished at 20:03 British Summer Time 23 September 2020

    Miguel Almiron

All the time in the world.

Miguel Almiron is played in. He races into the box, rounds the keeper then has time to pick out his spot.

There's a defender chasing back on the goalline but he smashes it into the roof of the net.

    2-0.
