  1. GREAT SAVE!published at 76 mins

    Everton 2-1 West Ham

Unsurprisingly Everton look a bit out of shape after all those changes and Jordan Pickford has made a cracking save to deny Sebastien Haller.

Can the Hammers find a leveller?

  2. Unhappy Allanpublished at 21:18 British Summer Time 30 September 2020

    BBC Sport at Goodison Park

It is fair to say Allan looked thoroughly fed up and he trudged round the pitch and straight down the tunnel to join his fellow countryman Richarlison in the home dressing room.

The Brazilian made a gesture as though he had pulled a muscle as the Everton physio came round to see him and he was indicating it was his groin area.

The result going Everton's way but this had not been a great night at all for Carlo Ancelotti.

What a fabulous goal that was.

Juan Mata has dictated the pace that Manchester United have played at.

He shows composure to cut back onto his right foot and pass the ball into the bottom corner.

    Everton 2-1 West Ham

    As Allan goes off injured...

It’s the gamble you take when you play your first team in these fixtures.

If Everton go through then maybe it’s a gamble that’s paid off but they are big players that Everton will now have to do without in the coming weeks.

It did look like a particularly bad one for Allan.

GOAL - Brighton 0-2 Manchester Unitedpublished at 21:14 British Summer Time 30 September 2020

    Juan Mata (73 mins)

What a joyous little footballer, what a great goal that is! Fred pops the ball forwards from midfiel, Donny van de Beek turns it on around the corner with a delightful flick and Juan Mata sidesteps the last defender and just passes into the corner.

    Genius goal.

  7. ouch!

Get rid of the League Cup - Allan is now injured for Everton.

That's him, Richarlison and Jonjoe Kenny who have been crocked tonight. We'll never criticise a manager again for leaving out all of his best players...

I don't understand why so many are so convinced Ole is not a good manager. He's bought well and has achieved as much, if not more, than could be expected so far. Give him time!

Wouldn't a Everton V Newcastle make a refreshing final for a change! A long way to go but fingers crossed.

    Everton 2-1 West Ham

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Richarlison got his left foot caught underneath him and his body gave way, he put a lot of weight through it.

It looked like he would try and run it off but he didn’t last very long.

The worry for Everton after a great start to the season is the Brighton game at the weekend.

  11. GREAT SAVE!published at 67 mins

    Brighton 0-1 Manchester United

Now that is a save! Brighton are so close to finding an equaliser as Leandro Trossard slams in a shot from the penalty spot and Dean Henderson makes a stunning one-handed save.

    Special!

  12. 'A great response by Everton'published at 21:08 British Summer Time 30 September 2020

    Everton 2-1 West Ham

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

It’s a deflection off the back of Declan Rice. Richarlison cuts in on the left hand side, it came from a good bit of play by Everton, finding Richarlison out on the touchline but the whole of the West Ham defence just seemed to back off expecting him to take a pass.

He didn’t, he drove at the edge of the penalty area of West Ham. He went for the far corner with his shot and it took a wicked deflection, nothing Darren Randolph could do.

It’s been a great response from Everton, they’ve hit the post and had another great save by Randolph and suddenly they’ve found themselves back in front.

  13. That doesn't look good for Richarlisonpublished at 21:08 British Summer Time 30 September 2020

    Everton 2-1 West Ham

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Goodison Park

Richarlison hopped/hobbled straight down the tunnel then clearly in discomfort.

Looks like an issue with his left leg, might have been his ankle.

Everton will hope it is not as serious as it looked. The Brazilian has been a major factor in the club's brilliant start to the season.

  14. 'Positive second half by Brighton'published at 21:06 British Summer Time 30 September 2020

    Brighton 0-1 Manchester United

    Steve Sidwell
Former Chelsea midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Brighton have performed very positively in this second half.

Even though they have changed the system to a 4-4-2 they have still played the same way with crisp passing, recycling the ball and trying to run in behind.

That would have been the team talk from Graham Potter at half-time - don't throw the game away, stay in the game as long as possible, keep it at 1-0 and when you get a chance make it count.

  15. Postpublished at 64 mins

    Brighton 0-1 Manchester United

Brighton fans might not mind that news too much, they play Everton at the weekend. Brighton have played some good stuff tonight but they are yet to really look convincing in attack. Though Leandro 'woodwork' Trossard is now on.
