babyboomer: Freeze frame doesn't show is where is the boot of the player behind Greenwood? Greenwood's boot looks offside but it is hiding the defender's foot so it is possible he could have been level.

James Beswick: Baffled. Convinced that was going to be overturned for offside by Premier League standards - very glad it wasn't!

Tom: Can never understand the constant criticism of Luke Shaw, he is generally one of United's better players. A central defender alongside Tuanzebe is what's needed.

    Juventus 0-1 Barcelona

Alvaro Morata has the ball in the back of the net again... and again the flag is up for offside.

Shame as it was a nice finish - a sweeping low strike - but it doesn't count and Barcelona lead 15 minutes before the break.

We have seen a bit of a response from RB Leipzig. Making a few passes and pushing United back. United defending on the edge of their box very well, very organised and disciplined. This should suit them as the have the pace up top with Martial and Greenwood - making runs in behind.

The RB Leipzig bench are going berserk at that Aaron Wan-Bissaka challenge in which he clearly gets the ball and clips Angelino on the follow through.

Good refereeing though, the man in blue isn't having any of it.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka puts a hefty tackle in on Angelino but he's done really well to get the ball.

Donny van de Beek has been very sharp so far. He squeezes it back infield off the touchline as United retain possession.

It comes over to Anthony Martial on the left but he can't bring it under control.

It wasn't an easy finish but Greenwood made it look easy. Someone with a clear mind, the natural finisher we saw last season - what an important player Greenwood was for United. A well-timed run and he still had work to do.

To the naked eye it looked like his foot was in an offside position.

RB Leipzig break quickly and Christopher Nkunku isn't closed down quick enough by Luke Shaw.

His shot is a powerful one and David de Gea has to palm it away for a corner.

From the set-piece, Marcel Halstenberg almost gets to it at the far post but it's really smart defending from Nemanja Matic.

What a run from Greenwood and what a ball. It's Pogba off the left-hand side, good driving run and Greenwood runs in between the two centre-halves...

This is a close one. As the ball has been played I think he's just offside...

Andrew Morris: Van De Beek seems a bit out of place & figuring out where to play & interchange with his teammates. This is why he needs to play more; he's sticking out like a sore thumb right now.

Michael Reid: United clearly lacking a bit of width, but their passing in the middle of the field has been excellent so far and making some early chances. Watch Ole change back to his beloved 4-2-3-1 at the weekend.

Nearly 20 minutes in and I'm not sure I'm liking what I'm seeing from Shaw and Matic.

Fred wins it back in the middle and Paul Pogba glides through the middle, shrugging off challengers on his way.

Both teams, when they have got into the final third, have lacked a little bit of quality, that final pass, that cutting edge. The defence are on top.
