Almost a brilliant goal by Marcus Rashford. He somehow swerves his way around three defenders - like an expert skiier - but his shot is saved by the keeper.

    FT: Rennes 1-2 Chelsea

    Chelsea

Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi talking to BT Sport: "Everybody is playing well at the moment but we want to keep improving.

"I need to take each opportunity I get when I'm in the team. I want to keep getting goals and assists and working hard for the team. I'm happy with the three points."

On his goal: "I know Mason [Mount], he works really hard and presses well in the middle of the pitch so as soon as he got the ball I knew I was in-front of the full back, and his vision is amazing and he'd pick me out so I got in there and got the goal."

On the London derby against Spurs at the weekend: "We'll go in there trying to win, we're confident and playing well at the moment. We've got to recover well and hopefully get the win there."

Man Utd v Istanbul Basaksahir (20:00 GMT)

    Dion Dublin
Former Aston Villa & Man Utd striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Manchester United have to win for themselves, forget the game and who they're playing and they need to get themselves into some kind of momentum, be that force that they were a few years ago. People aren't fearing Man United at the moment, they don't fear coming here, the fear of Man United is gone and they need to get that back.

They got embarrassed when they played away against Istanbul Basaksehir so they have to put that to bed and have a good performance tonight and score some goals.

Manchester United make two changes from the narrow win over West Brom at the weekend.

Nemanja Matic and Juan Mata drop out.

There is one difference in the Istanbul Basaksehir team from the side who beat United before the international break.

Former Spurs and West Brom winger Nacer Chadli replaces Danijel Aleksic.

Demba Ba, who scored in their last meeting, starts again.

This is one of only two truly close groups.

Manchester United cannot clinch a place in the knockout stages today.

With placings determined by head-to-head record rather than goal difference, they could even end the day outside the top two if they lose to Basaksehir, as they did in Istanbul in the reverse fixture.

    Rennes 1-2 Chelsea

    Rob Green
Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

What a guy to bring on, the experience, the knowledge, how to play. Job done, it could've been done a lot earlier but they will be happy with the job.

Looking at it, Timo Werner isn't firing yet, he had the chances on Saturday and he had the chances tonight. Chelsea had the chances to put it to bed early and they just didn't. That is the slightly worrying part.

United will be taking nothing for granted today since they lost 2-1 in their meeting in Istanbul before the break.

Demba Ba and Edin Visca scored the two goals that day. The last player to score home and away against United in the group stage of a Champions League campaign was Braga's Alan in 2012-13.
