Real Madrid 3-1 Liverpool
This is the best game I've watched in ages. Real almost have a chance for a fourth as Vinicius Jr finds Marco Asensio, who tries to spin past Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alisson. If he succeeds, he'll have an empty net to score into but he doesn't take the ball with him.
Man City 1-0 Borussia Dortmund
Big save by Marwin Hitz as he keeps out a first-time effort from Phil Foden with his legs.
Kevin de Bruyne had got away down the right and got into the box before finding Foden.
Best chance of the half by far for City.
Vinicius Jr (65 mins)
Oh.
Lucas Vazquez takes a throw-in to Karim Benzema, who lays it off for Luka Modric. Liverpool let the Croat run towards the box and pick up Vinicus Jr. The Brazilian takes a first-time shot from near the penalty spot which beats Alisson, who may have got a touch.
Real Madrid 2-1 Liverpool
Now Trent Alexander-Arnold saves Liverpool. Real launch a quick counter from that Reds attack and Marco Asensio just has to find the unmarked Vinicius Jr in the centre but TAA cuts out his pass.
Man City 1-0 Borussia Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund make their first change of the game as Ansgar Knauff is replaced by Giovanni Reyna with just under 30 minutes to go.
Real Madrid 2-1 Liverpool
Brilliant defending by Ferland Mendy saves Real Madrid. Liverpool launch a good attack, started by a Nat Phillips tackle. Diogo Jota lifts the ball across for Sadio Mane and out of nowhere Mendy dives in to get there first.
Man City 1-0 Borussia Dortmund
Erling Haaland is fouled by John Stones and Borussia Dortmund have a free kick in a decent position - just outside the area.
Manchester City line up their wall with Ilkay Gundogan the man tasked with lying down behind it. Marco Reus steps up but fires his effort into the wall.
Real Madrid 2-1 Liverpool
Next goal is huge here. Obvs.
Real Madrid 2-1 Liverpool
Fabinho tries to run his way to safety but loses the ball. Vinicius Jr crosses and Thiago tries to chest the ball down in his own box. Marco Asesnio nicks it of him and lays it off for Toni Kroos, who shoots over the bar.

Manchester City will be thinking they can do this. They have kept things really simple, passing right to left and they have dominated this second half so far.
Man City 1-0 Borussia Dortmund
Pep Guardiola decides it is time for a change in attack to try and get that second goal. Bernardo Silva makes way for Gabriel Jesus.

Karim Benzema drifts in from the left and has a shot blocked by Nat Phillips. Then Casemiro has a go from distance and Thiago gets in the way.
Real Madrid 2-1 Liverpool
Mohamed Salah scores his 10th Champions League knockout goal, equalling Samuel Eto'o (10) in third place among African players. Didier Drogba (14) and Sadio Mane (12) are first and second.

Man City 1-0 Borussia Dortmund
Manchester City are yet to get going in this half with Borussia Dortmund looking the most threatening of the two sides so far.
Mateu Morey tries his luck with a half volley but his effort is comfortable for Ederson.
Real Madrid 2-1 Liverpool
A very open game and Liverpool sub Thiago is booked for fouling Marco Asensio.
The Reds have been a different team since Thiago came on for Naby Keita.
Real Madrid 2-1 Liverpool
Good defending by Ozan Kabak to deny Marco Asensio twice. First he stops his through ball to Karim Benzema and then blocks his shot.

I'm not sure how long Emre Can is going to last because at the moment, the pace of the City midfield is forcing him to give the ball away.
Real Madrid 2-1 Liverpool
The corner comes to nothing and Liverpool clear.
