Lifa: What on earth does Tuchel see in Jorginho?? The last 3 games he has been the weakest link but still starts a CL final. I hope he proves me wrong but I feel there’s only one outcome. He will somehow lose the ball or his sense of positioning at some point.

Man City v Chelsea (20:00 BST)

The final was due to be staged at Istanbul's Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Turkey but was switched due to coronavirus restrictions.

Portugal is on England's green list for travel, so players and fans can attend without having to quarantine on their return home. Turkey is on the red list.

The Estadio do Dragao hosted the 2019 Nations League final and was built for Euro 2004.

City were held to a goalless draw by Porto in the group stages at this same venue back in December.

Chelsea also played Porto in the quarter-finals but both legs were played in Spain.

"My dad still thinks he's the best footballer in the family," said the 19-year-old, whose brother Harvey plays for Kilmarnock Under-17s.

"Since I was a kid, me and my little brother watched my dad play football. He'd come back home and say I've got all these medals.

"He played junior level and asks me, 'Have you won a trophy yet?'. I've won loads of youth trophies, but he says, no, men's football, you won that yet?"

Rodri and Fernandinho, they are City's insurance policies so will be interesting to see how they set up in midfield.

Will Ilkay Gundogan play the pivot role? Will Kevin de Bruyne drop back? Where does Raheem Sterling fit in?

It is a very attacking team, a statement of intent from Pep Guardiola. They are going all-out to win this game.

  16. Familiarity brings 'more difficulty'published at 18:47 British Summer Time 29 May 2021

Man City v Chelsea (20:00 BST)

    BBC World Service

Former Chelsea forward Salomon Kalou on an all-English final: “You are playing each other at least three times in the season. So when you reach the final and play them, it’s nothing to do with tactics because you know each other so well. Even if you change tactics, you know the players, how they move, you know everything.

“It came to a moment where we knew it was going to go to penalties because both teams had respect for each other and I think that we were so afraid of each other that everyone was playing with the break on. We were like, OK let’s wait for the right moment to attack but you don’t attack because they also had players to punish you if you make a mistake.

“It took away a little bit the fun of the game because we were playing with a lot of calculation, waiting for the right moment, and they were also waiting. The fact that we knew each other made the game even more difficult.”

Manchester City are set to play in the biggest game in club football.

Yet, win or lose, many of their 'legacy fans' will tell you it's not even the most important game in the club's history.

They'll point to 1999, when City had dropped out of English football's top two divisions for the first time. They languished in what is now League One, but was then known as Division Two.

What happened next would change the course of the club's history.

Now we are here sitting in the stadium it feels big, it has been building all week.

Can City get over the line? Thomas Tuchel has made a huge impact at Chelsea, can he win the trophy for them? This is a brilliant stadium to hold a Champions League final in.

They both will be desperate to win a major European trophy, players don't get here that often.

There is more pressure on City because they have not won the big one and this is what Pep Guardiola was brought here for.
