Spurs' Son Heung-min on playing at the Puskas Arena after winning the Puskas award for best goal of the year: "It's a big honour.

"Playing at this stadium – it’s massive. It's very special because I won the award for the last year.

"We got the win, that was more important than the special feeling. It’s very important we showed from minute one that we wanted to win, not only 1-0 or 2-0. We showed good attitude and scored three goals in the first half. The guys had a really good mindset."

On linking up with Gareth Bale: "I have a really close relationaship with him. I’m very happy he’s getting game time and scored a goal and got an assist. I really enjoy playing with him."

Oh how on earth has he missed that?

It's the man Arsenal would want such a chance to fall to, in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but the skipper sends his shot wide of the post with the goal gaping.

Hector Bellerin's ball across the six-yard box put that on a plate. Unreal miss.

  9. 'We can be dangerous'published at 20:18 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February 2021

    Real Sociedad 0-4 Manchester United

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to BT Sport: "We scored some good goals and played some nice football. We deserved to win but maybe not by four goals. On a night like this when we find spaces we can be a dangerous team.

"We had to defend well, they have some terrific players up front and we earned the right to counter-attack quickly. They opened up and we got the spaces we wanted.

"Every team attacks you, it's about finding the moments to find the space. We are a work in progress, we are learning and some games we have not been able to win lately."

How Arsenal would love to take control of this tie in the first leg as Tottenham and Manchester United have already managed this evening. A huge help in a season so congested as this one is.

  12. 'Solid away from home'published at 20:14 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February 2021

    Slavia Prague 0-0 Leicester City

    Leicester City

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers speaking to BT Sport: "I was really pleased from a defensive perspective. We kept them reasonably quiet. They had one opportunity at the back post in the first half but our goalkeeper and back four were strong. The pitch was heavy and it was a little bit of man-marking. I was delighted with the spirit and we were solid away from home. Hopefully it will be the case next week [we score goals at home].

"Jamie Vardy isn't always involved a great deal. He's a special player that relies on our midfield and wide players to get on the ball as he plays on the last line. He just needs those chances and that's why he's such a great striker. He got a good hour in his legs and will be fresh for the weekend.

"I thought the officials were very poor, I have to say. I don't comment on them much as it's a very difficult job but some of the decisions... It was clear it wasn't [an elbow from Kelechi Iheanacho for the yellow card] They were challenging for the ball. Overall, I didn't think it was a good night for them to be honest.

"When you come away it's important you defend well. You have to stay strong and be aggressive. We kept a clean sheet and we will look to the second leg. Now we have had a feel for them we can go away and look at where we can get through to the next round."

Jeester101: Could be a bit early to call at this stage, but the chances of an all-English #UEL, external final are looking very good– depending on the Arsenal result later. Can see United, Spurs, Arsenal and one of AC Milan, Napoli or Roma in the semis.
