    Benfica v Arsenal (20:00 GMT)

Benfica and Arsenal's only two meetings came in the last 16 of the 1991-92 European Cup, with Benfica winning 4-2 on aggregate.

Arsenal have faced five different Portuguese opponents in European competition and beaten all but Benfica.

Benfica have won the first leg of their last nine Europa League knockout ties when it’s been at home and won 14 of their last 17 first leg matches in the knockout phase overall.

    Arsenal

A quick reminder of the team news for this one.

Arsenal are unchanged from the 4-2 win over Leeds in the Premier League on Sunday.

That means Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang continues up top, supported on the sides by Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe, with Martin Odegaard at number 10.

There are some familiar names in the Benfica side. At the back, former Man City centre-back Nicolas Otamendi and ex-Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen are two-thirds of the back three. Adel Taarabt is in midfield.

Forwards Darwin Nunez, Pizzi and Luca Waldschmidt have 31 goals between this this season.

Well chuffed for Daniel James! All too often looked well out of his depth and like a deer in headlights! He's got the patience of a saint and clearly been working his socks off! Well played kiddo.

A very, very good night for Manchester United.

Goals firing in elsewhere but still absolutely nothing in Prague. Not sure we'll get one.

It's all over. That's surely enough for Spurs to reach the last 16.

Five minutes of injury time for Manchester United to enjoy.

    Daniel James (90 mins)

That makes things even better though!

    Surely it's tie over now.

Eric Bailly digs out a pass and sends the ball wide to Daniel James, who simply gets his head down and charges towards goal before slotting into the opposite corner.

    Real Sociedad 0-3 Man Utd

This was supposed to be a pretty tricky draw for Manchester United.

Of course there's another leg to be played, but based on tonight's encounter it's very difficult to see a way back for Real Sociedad.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer couldn't have wished for things to have gone much better in Turin tonight.

    Carlos Vinicius (88 mins)

Three substitutes combine and Spurs have probably wrapped up this tie.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg crosses and Erik Lamela heads it into the path of Carlos Vinicius, who prods home from close range.

Hamza Choudhury fires a brilliant cross in from the right and it whizzes past Kelechi Iheanacho, who was inches away with a diving header.

    Wolfsberger 1-3 Tottenham

Not much real action at the Puskas Arena in the final five or 10 minutes. Spurs are probing.

    Real Sociedad 0-3 Man Utd

Anthony Martial picks out Mason Greenwood to the left of goal but he pulls his shot wide of the target.

Now then, here comes January addition Amad Diallo for Greenwood, while Juan Mata replaces Bruno Fernandes.

Can Diallo announce himself at United in these closing stages?

    Slavia Prague 0-0 Leicester

Just over 10 minutes to go in Prague. Leicester haven't been on it tonight. No Jamie Vardy or James Maddison on the pitch but can they conjure up a winner?

You'd still fancy Leicester to wrap it up at home in the return leg if they can come away with a draw here.

    Real Sociedad 0-3 Man Utd

It hasn't been the dream evening Adnan Januzaj perhaps envisaged.

He's replaced by Portu, while Ander Barrenetxea comes in for Alexander Isak.

United, as they do, break on the counter but Bruno Fernandes is denied his hat-trick by a good stop from Alex Remiro.

  18. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 19:31 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February 2021
