Here he comes. What a chance to show everyone at Old Trafford what he is made of.

A chance to really prove a point.

That's right, Diogo Dalot, on loan from Manchester United, is on for AC Milan.

    ...

Oh, and by the way, so is a certain Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

    Neil Lennon
Former Celtic manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

Manchester United are working so hard. I've been so impressed with their work rate and pressing high up the pitch. I just hope they can maintain it but as a European performance away from home - this has been excellent.

An hour gone in the San Siro. Thirty minutes left for Manchester United to keep a clean sheet and join Arsenal in tomorrow's draw.

We've already got Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool in the Champions League last eight and the draw for that one will be at 11:00 GMT on Friday, before the Europa League draw an hour later.

There will be both the quarter-finals and semi-finals draws for both competitions so you will be able to plot a route to the final.

Of course, we will have live text commentary on the BBC Sport website for it all tomorrow.

No surprise our dip in form coincided with Pogba's absence. So glad he's back.

We've already had extra time in one of our games with Tottenham losing and an AC Milan equaliser here would take us into an extra 30 minutes.

However, another United goal would then mean extra time was no longer a possibility and Milan would need three.

  8. 'Not just the basics of football, but the basics of life'published at 21:12 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2021

FT: Dinamo Zagreb 3-0 Tottenham (agg. 3-2)

    Tottenham Hotspur

More from Spurs boss Jose Mourinho, speaking to BT Sport: "I never like the feeling of some guys in football that say 'I won, they lost'. For me, 'we won, we drew, we lost'. I didn't run away from that. I am disappointed for a difference of attitude of one team to another. I feel sorry that my team is the team that didn't bring to the game not just the basics of football but the basics of life, which is to respect our jobs and to give everything.

"Sad is not enough. I totally respect everything that somebody connected or not connected with the club says about us tonight. I think we have to accept the problem is if some accept in the positive way in the sense of feeling hurt or ashamed with the critics. Another story is if you don't care or feel it. That is a much deeper problem. I don't need external critics. I feel deeply hurt with what happened with my team.

"I can only apologise to the Tottenham supporters. I hope they feel the same way I feel. Today is live or die and in this moment we die. In some other matches I have the same feeling. Until the last day of the season we have to try and do our best."

Manchester United have been very solid at the back. I think Harry Maguire has had a great game tonight. He has led the team very well but there have been warning signs by Milan that United can't become complacent.

United are looking to finish off this last-16 tie. Mason Greenwood strikes at goal, but Gianluigi Donnarumma does really well to save it and hold on to it. Decent goalkeeping from the big man.

  12. 'Great sub by Solskjaer'published at 21:10 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2021

Big goal from a big player. AC Milan just couldn't clear the danger. Pogba gave the goal keeper the eyes and what composure in such a tight area. Great finish and great start to the half.

Oh, and a great sub by the manager!

GOAL - AC Milan 0-1 Manchester United (1-2 on aggregate)published at 48 mins

    Paul Pogba

    What a substitution!

He's only been on the pitch for three minutes and Paul Pogba has scored what could be a big, big goal for Manchester United.

AC Milan just cannot get rid of the ball, Fred wins it back inside the area, it falls to Pogba, who dummies and that tricks the defence and goalkeeper and he then fires instantly into the roof of the net.

  14. 'To say I feel sad is not enough'published at 21:07 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2021

FT: Dinamo Zagreb 3-0 Tottenham (agg. 3-2)

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho, speaking to BT Sport: "If I forget the last minutes of extra time, where we did something to get a different result and go through, in the 90 minutes and first half of extra time was one team that decided to leave everything on the pitch.

They left sweat, energy, blood. In the end they left even tears of happiness. Very humble and committed. I have to praise them. On the other side, my team. I repeat, my team. They didn't look like it was playing an important match. If for any one of them it is not important, for me it is.

"For the respect I have for my career and my job, every match is important. For every Tottenham fan at home every match matters. Another attitude is needed. To say I feel sad is not enough. What I feel is much more than sadness. I just left the Dinamo dressing room where I went to praise the guys and I feel sorry one team is not my team won the game based on attitude and compromise. I feel more than sad. That is it.

"Football is not just about players who think they have more quality than others. The basis of football is attitude. They beat us on that. I told the players the risk of playing the way we were. It happened because I believe the players only realised it was at risk when they scored the second."

I think it makes sense to being Paul Pogba on - but it depends how fit he is. Manchester United definitely needed a change because they were just starting to look a little bit leggy and fatigued. Pogba is a big-game player, so it's a good move from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

And here comes the second half. United need a goal. AC Milan need to hang on to what they have got.

Paul Pogba moves to the left in a straight swap for Marcus Rashford.

A big change for Manchester United at the break. On goes Paul Pogba, but Marcus Rashford, who had an ankle injury before the match, is the one who goes off.

Mark Burt: Spurs fans can cane Jose to the cows come home but spinelessness of the players is on them. Managers can provide game plan but they can’t teach bottle.

As a lifelong Spurs fan I'm fed up. The Spurs players have no heart and no commitment. Dinamo Zagreb players wanted it so much more than we did and that was unbelievably evident. Spurs don't deserve to win anything with the way they play.

Tottenham were knocked out of the Europa League as a sublime hat-trick from Mislav Orsic completed a remarkable second-leg turnaround for Dinamo Zagreb.

Leading 2-0 after a one-sided first encounter in London seven days earlier, Spurs - who made seven changes - paid the price for a desperately poor performance against the Croatian champions.

Orsic deservedly curled the hosts ahead on the night with a wonderful strike from the edge of the box and swept home Iyayi Atiemwen's cross to bring the tie level.

He added a superb third at the start of the second period of extra time, driving at a terrified Tottenham defence before firing another fine finish into Hugo Lloris' bottom corner.

Tottenham twice almost snatched salvation and progress at the end of both normal and extra time but Harry Kane was thwarted on each occasion by superb saves from Dinamo keeper Dominik Livakovic.

Spurs piled on the pressure in the closing stages but Dinamo held out to earn a fully merited place in Friday's quarter-final and semi-final draws.
