West Ham United

On debutant Vladimir Coufal: "We knew what to expect in terms of experience and that he was ready to play. But we were throwing him in to a team where he doesn't know the players. Today has shown the quality he has."

West Bromwich Albion

West Brom boss Slaven Bilic, speaking to MOTD: "It was not good enough. They were better in everything. Everything starts with the aggression. They were always quicker to react to the second ball. It was not good enough from our side. I know the guys want it but there has to be so much more determination and desire.

"You have to learn, but this is not a school. You have to be competitive and do your best. We have to do more and show more determination and show a better mentality than we have shown.

"In the second half we had a couple of chances and looked much better. You have to give them credit for their great goal but you have to track that runner because it was an obvious run. The finish was world class."

Leicester City

We started the season well and scored goals but we lacked aggression in our defending and West Ham have shown they are a good side. We rushed the game and then gave away two poor goals. It gave us a mountain to climb. They deserved to win. They were good defensively and on the counter-attack. We didn't see the performance coming from us.

"We are a team that is developing. We have nine points from 12 and we will take. But today is what can happen in football.

"Dennis (Praet) and James Maddison give us extra quality. We lacked precision in our passing. We couldn't get our front players involved and didn't give the back line chance to get up the pitch.

"We will reflect over the four games, not just today. We will fix it when we get back from the international break. It was a lesson today."

On the injury suffered by Daniel Amartey: "Looks like a hamstring, which is unfortunate. We will get confirmation of that."

Southampton

Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl, speaking to MOTD: "I think what I liked was the game management. The second half was a very good game from my side. A not so easy win.

"We invested a lot in the first half. We had a lot of chances. It was nearly a perfect first half, had chances and didn't give any away. The goal was an important goal and happy we could have players other than Danny Ings to score.

"Hopefully we can continue this successful run. We need to work as a team together, whether you are a good team you have a good chance to win games. The opponent changed shape but we were well organised and stuck to the gameplan.

"We have six points now, it makes everything not easier but a little bit more comfortable. We have a tough fixture after the international break, let's go."

West Bromwich Albion

West Brom boss Slaven Bilic, speaking to BT Sport: "They were better than us in every aspect of the game.

"They were more aggressive, they were better to second balls, they were stronger, they were everything we weren't today. I am very disappointed with our poor, poor performance.

"We were basically not there. Without the ball we were not close to them. We gave them enough time and space and with the ball also they were better than us.

"It all starts with the aggression and the desire, which should be our strength."

On hoping to sign Huddersfield striker Karlan Grant on deadline day: "I am very hopeful."

We know his quality and experience but we didn't know how he would fit in the team. He picked up the messages we gave him really well. It was a great performance. What a debut."

On Moyes: "He is doing very well from the living room. He has been involved in everything. He picks the team, we talk about training and substitutions in games. He deserves the credit."

On transfers: "I don't know. One thing that this has given David time to do is work on recruitment. Other than getting the odd call to look at the odd player I have not been involved."

Southampton

Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl, speaking to BT Sport: "We have been very clinical today. Good game management in the game. The pressing was nearly perfect today, we never had the feeling of having little bit problems. I felt we were well organised.

"It is absolutely important to have other guys scoring. If Ingsy one time is not scoring the other guys need to do so. It was good we had subs to put in like Longy, who helped us in the end with his quality on the pitch.

"Hopefully we can get another player in and then it would look OK."

West Ham forward Jarrod Bowen: "Clean sheet and three goals. We were solid without the ball and had chances and looked dangerous on the break. A perfect away performances.

"I think everyone is buzzing. To score four last week and three this week against very good teams shows where we want to be this season.

"You can see the work-rate Michail shows. He pulled off to the back stick and what a header it was. He is a great lad and unplayable on his day."

Southampton

Southampton goalscorer Oriol Romeu, speaking to BT Sport: "I am not used to hitting the ball that well!

"I had space when the ball came to me and it ended up in the back of the net. Happy, happy for the team and on we go. Feeling good.

"The team is doing well, we are doing a good job. Winning two games in a row after a not as good as expected start as we had is crucial going into the international break.

"The performance was good, very solid. We still have to improve to create more chances but that will come."
