It looked like a tired shot from Nicolas Pepe. His first touch was excellent then he lashes it with his left foot. It looked so uncontrolled. That was a good opportunity.

    How cynical was that?

Nicolas Pepe is threatening to burst clear when his ankle is clipped by Harry Wilson.

Liverpool have created some fantastic opportunities in the second half, individual quality. Arsenal haven't lived up to the billing of the first half. They're not as sharp, not closing down quickly. Liverpool have definitely moved the ball quicker in the second half.

Goodness. It's been all Liverpool this half but Arsenal carve out a rare chance as Rob Holding leaps high above the Liverpool defence to get on the end of a lovely cross. It's straight at Adrian.

Alistair Wiseman: Good to see Pepe taking a League Cup game by the scuff of its neck. He's really found his level. Well worth the £72 million!

I think Harry Wilson will go out on loan or be sold. I don't see him having a future at Liverpool. He's not quite at that level.

No doubt about it, Liverpool have moved up a gear.

It's taken them a while to warm up but they're charging at Arsenal now and Diogo Jota lets fly with his right foot after combining with Harry Wilson.

    That wasn't too far away.
