An early opening for the visitors as Scott Tiffoney supplies Scott Scott Pittman for a shot inside the box.
Mark Connolly stands strong to provide the block, with Livi's screams for a penalty ignored by referee John Beaton.
Hibernian 0-0 Hamilton Academical
Paul Hanlon didn't know much about that. The Hibs centre-half bundles his marker out of the way at a corner, the ball strikes his shin and debutant goalkeeper Kyle Gourlay does well to claw it off the line and wide.

Quote MessageMartin Boyle looks like he's really up for it. Hibs are having all of the ball and Hamilton are just sitting in their solid shape. With the start that Hibs have had you expect sooner or later they will start to make inroads into that Hamilton defence.

Quote MessageJim Goodwin is unhappy at losing Kyle Magennis, but he'll be more concerned with being bottom of the table and on this poor run. It's almost the exact opposite for Aberdeen, they're on a decent run and are my tip for third this year.
A reminder of how the Premiership table looks.
And away we go.
Dundee Utd v Livingston (19:45)
Livingston boss Gary Holt says it wasn't worth the "risk" of throwing in new signing Jay Emmanuel-Thomas for a debut.
"We took the decision to protect him, he hasn't played for a long time," Holt tells BBC Scotland Sportsound. "We'll build his fitness up during the international break."
Dundee Utd v Livingston (19:45)
Dundee Utd assistant manager Stevie Frail explains that goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist is out with a "slight strain" suffered in training.
Centre-back Mark Reynolds has a similar injury and is only fit for the bench.
Meanwhile, Frail believes winger Logan Chalmers' first Scotland Under-21 call-up this week is long overdue.
He tells BBC Scotland Sportsound: "We were trying to push Logan for a call-up earlier in the season - his performances speak for themselves.
"His ability on the pitch can't be questioned, but he is now taking more responsibility too."
Aberdeen v St Mirren (19:45)
St Mirren manager Jim Goodwin: "We're going through hard times at the moment. We've suffered a couple of injuries - Sam Foley and Dylan Connolly. Added to that is the suspension of Richard Tait.
"We are very light on numbers. We've got no recognised defenders or midfielder son the bench.
"Ryan Flynn are Kristian Dennis are out injured and Kyle Magennis, who we were looking forward to being back has obviously agreed a deal with Hibs this afternoon.
"Kyle was a big player for us. I made him captain in the summer. I think the world of him as a lad. I think he's a real quality player and he's worked so hard to recover from his ACL injury over the last six months.
"I didn't want to sell. I thought he was going to be influential for us going forward. Unfortunately, things have changed overnight and Kyle is no longer our player. I don't know the exact figure but I assume it was too good to turn down.
"We need bodies coming in, not going out."
Jim Goodwin is disappointed to be losing his captain Kyle Magennis
Aberdeen v St Mirren (19:45)
St Mirren are without a victory in 10 league games in Aberdeen (D6 L4), last winning at Pittodrie in the top-flight in May 2011.
The visitors are at the foot of the table after a run of five successive losses, while the Dons returned to winning ways with a comprehensive 3-0 success away to Ross County on Sunday.
Marley Watkins scored his first Aberdeen goal in the weekend win at Ross County
Hibernian v Hamilton Academical (19:45)
Hibs are unbeaten in seven league meetings with Hamilton (W5 D2) since a 3-1 reverse at Easter Road in August 2017 under Neil Lennon.
A fifth consecutive home win over the Accies would take the Edinburgh side to 20 points from 10 games, a very healthy haul.
However, Accies rarely go down without a fight as they showed last weekend to earn their first home point of the season against Dundee United and their two league wins so far have come on their travels.
Hibs suffered their second defeat of the season at Celtic Park on Sunday. Lively in the first half, they were perhaps unlucky to be 2-0 down at the interval but could not lay a glove on the champions after the break as Celtic added another goal.
Can Hibs striker Christian Doidge add to this three goals?
Dundee United v Livingston (19:45)
These two last met in the 2018 Premiership play-off, with Livingston prevailing 3-2 at Tannadice on their way to a 4-3 aggregate victory.
But since reaching the top flight, Livi have won just three of their 39 away league outings (D15 L21).
Dundee United will be kicking themselves after not making it back-to-back wins at the weekend, Hamilton levelling with their only effort on target, and Micky Mellon's promoted side have only one win from four attempts at Tannadice.
If the visitors can build on the home win over St Johnstone with a rare away success, they will leapfrog sixth-placed United.

Quote MessageBrian Rice must be so positive in that Hamilton dressing room. He could use so many excuses with the Covid issues he and his team have faced. They don't moan, they just get on with it, that's the Accies way.
Hibernian v Hamilton Academical (19:45)
Hamilton manager Brian Rice confirms that regular goalkeeper Ryan Fulton is missing after testing positive for Covid-19.
He adds that he has "every confidence" in replacement Kyle Gourlay, saying: "We just need to get on with it and I always say it's an opportunity for someone else to come in and impress.
"Hibs have had a fantastic start. They are very cavalier and I think it will be an open game."

St Mirren's Kyle Magennis has had a medical with Hibs today
Hibs head coach Jack Ross reveals that 22-year-old midfielder Kyle Magennis is close to concluding a transfer from St Mirren.
"I've just been told it's almost there," he tells BBC Scotland. "Kyle will be here tonight to watch the game and has worked out most of his medical today.
"Hopefully it will be done very soon but equally it isn't done yet."
Meanwhile, Ross explains that he expected to give Josh Doig a rest at some point after the 18-year-old impressed at left-back from the start of the season. He says Lewis Stevenson made it easy for him to make the switch tonight because of the 32-year-old's performances from the bench.

Tonight’s encounter pitches two sides together that have experienced starkly contrasting fortunes of late.
Aberdeen have lost just one of their last six Premiership matches and are looking to continue their impressive momentum.
It could not be a more different story for St Mirren, who prop up the table and have travelled north looking to try and halt an alarming run of five straight defeats.
The Paisley side will take heart from the going over Motherwell gave Aberdeen here a couple of weeks ago.
However, any suggestion that might derail the Dons appears to have been dispelled by their impressive 3-0 win at Ross County last time out.

Quote MessageJack Ross has a really decent team at his disposal. They've got a lot of flexibility, they can still change to a back three if they want to. The potential of adding Kyle Magennis would make this Hibs squad very good indeed.
Hibernian v Hamilton Academical (19:45)
Veteran left-back Lewis Stevenson makes his first start of the season for Hibs, with 18-year-old Josh Doig dropping to the bench.
On-loan Rangers winger Jamie Murphy starts ahead of Drey Wright, who he replaced just after half-time during Sunday's 3-0 defeat away to Celtic.
Hamilton are without first-choice goalkeeper Ryan Fulton and give a debut to Kyle Gourlay, who last played first-team football on loan from Dundee to Elgin City in May 2019.
The 22-year-old starts despite the more experienced Ryan Scully, who left Dunfermline Athletic this summer, being signed earlier today on a short-term deal until January. The 27-year-old is on the bench.
Ross Callachan comes into midfield in place of Reegan Mimnaugh, while 18-year-old Jamie Hamilton starts in defence at the expense of striker Tunde Owolabi.
Defender Ben Stirling, who moved from Hibs to Accies this week, will hope to make his debut for his new club against his old one from the bench.
