Norway 1-0 Northern Ireland
More from Northern Ireland boss Ian Baraclough: I might take a couple of days rest when we get back, it's been full on - we've had to deal with three games in a short space of time. In this third game there were some tired bodies, Norway have had all their ties at home and put out pretty much a full strength side tonight.
We want to win every game possible and be competitive and these games have shown me a lot about the mentality of the boys and shown me some good play. We want to get points and give ourselves a chance of staying in the group.
Norway 1-0 Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland manager Ian Baraclough talking to Sky Sports: "I was really pleased with the performance.
"We've made a lot of changes and there's been a lot of travelling done in the last seven or eight days. We've played a different system, we worked on that for a couple of days. We've thrown one or two kids in as well and losing your goalkeeper 20 minutes before kick off doesn't help.
"We started really well, positively and managed to create a few chances. Norway had the first chance which was a good save from Trevor Carson. On another night we should've probably been a couple of goals up.
"We weren't going to take risks with anyone. Bailey Peacock-Farrell said he felt something in his hip so, we weren't taking chances. Carson, professional as he is, was ready to go and did very well.
"The goal is so disappointing because it comes off Stuart Dallas, he couldn't do anything about it. To lose a game from that sort of goal is disappointing - we kept at it for the last ten minutes and tried to get something from the game.
"It wasn't to be but now we go into November knowing we can play in different ways. A lot for me to think about before the Slovakia game."
The other game in Group B1 ended in a 1-0 win for Austria in Romania.
Alessandro Schöpf got the only goal of the game in the 75th minute.
Norway 1-0 Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland's Stuart Dallas talking to Sky Sports: "A lot of positives we can take from that performance, certainly in the first half. We nullified the threat of them which isn't an easy thing to do and we had chances of our own. We had the chance to go 1-0 up, on another night that would've gone in. It's obviously disappointing how we conceded the goal.
"The goal hit me on the shoulder and went in, but these things happen. I probably could've attacked it a bit better than what I did. We work really hard on attacking and defending and unfortunately I'm on the wrong end of it tonight but it's something we'll learn from.
"We're looking forward to the game against Slovakia, we came here tonight looking to win the game and build some momentum which unfortunately we couldn't do. We go home now to our clubs and hopefully everyone can get some game time and stay fit and come back next month and make sure we're ready to go against Slovakia. It's a chance to go to another major tournament which as players is what we're all looking for."
Norway 1-0 Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland goalkeeper Trevor Carson talking to Sky Sports:
On being drafted in at the last minute: "It was all last minute to be fair the boss made me aware this morning that Bailey was carrying a knock so in that sense I had a bit of time to prepare but even with my experience in the game it's something I've not really had to do before.
"If Norway had scored that early goal then it would've been a long night but the lads after that were different class - we defended well it's just a shame that the goal went in and unfortunately we've no points to show for our efforts.
"If you take this week as a whole, the big one was Bosnia-Herzegovina but we're looking forward to next month to possibly get a chance to go to another Euros. We've shown tonight that we've got a competitive squad which is important because with the whole situation with Covid we just don't know what could happen so we need that squad depth."
A defeat tonight but Northern Ireland won't mind too much if they win the big one next month - the play-off final with Slovakia at Windsor Park for a place at the European Championships.
That game takes place on 12 November.

It's disappointing that Northern Ireland didn't hang on for the draw. They've defended really well throughout, the problem is going forward. We can't get out and hold up the ball long enough and if we can't do that then its very difficult to defend for that length of time without conceding chances.
I thought there were some good performances - Tom Flanagan, Daniel Ballard, the goalkeeper had a good game, Conor McLaughlin was sound again. We defend well as a team but we just can't get forward that's something we need to work on.
Defeat means Northern Ireland are bottom of their group with one point from four games.
Norway, meanwhile, are joint top with Austria on nine points.
Norway 1-0 Northern Ireland
All over and the Stuart Dallas own goal is the difference.
Northern Ireland were defensively solid on the whole but goal scoring remains an issue.
Norway 1-0 Northern Ireland
Three minutes of stoppage time for Northern Ireland to try and find an equaliser. It isn't looking promising, but all it takes is a second.
Norway 1-0 Northern Ireland
Paddy McNair hits the ball into the area but it is over the heads of his team-mates and another chance is gone for Northern Ireland.
Into the final minute.
Norway 1-0 Northern Ireland
No goal for Erling Haaland tonight as he is replaced by Markus Henriksen for the last few minutes.

I think we need to find a better way to get the ball to the strikers feet. You can play from the two centre forwards but if you keep getting it wide to the wing backs we've go no one in the channel for them to run into. Either that or the two centre forwards need to get wide and get further over when it goes wide.
Norway 1-0 Northern Ireland
Plenty of possession for Northern Ireland at the moment but the sort of possession Norway will be happy with. It is all in their own half and around the halfway line.
Steven Davis is on for Jordan Thompson with just over five minutes to go.
Norway 1-0 Northern Ireland
Stuart Dallas has the ball on the right flank but there's not a lot of options ahead of him so he has to go backwards.
Into the final 10 minutes. Northern Ireland need to find something and soon if they are to get something out of this.
Norway 1-0 Northern Ireland
A busy evening for Martin Odegaard comes to an end as he is replaced by Martin Linnes for the closing stages.

Norway are dictating the pace of the game now. As soon as the goal has gone in everything has just dropped. Looks like Conor Washington needs a break, he looks tired. Norway look comfortable now, a second goal wouldn't be a surprise.

So, once again Northern Ireland concede the first goal - something that has happened now in all five of Ian Baraclough's games in charge.
It was an untidy one, too, but the visitors are going to have to find a way to reassert themselves as an attacking force, which is something they have not done in the second half.
With the hosts growing in confidence and creativity a continual problem for NI, it is difficult to see an equaliser coming.
Gavin Whyte has replaced Conor Washington for Baraclough, whose plan to sit deep and defend has been undone by that goal.
