    Norway 0-0 Northern Ireland

    John O'Neill
Former Northern Ireland defender on BBC Radio Ulster

Already we've got bodies in the box, which we never did all night against Austria.

We created two chances on Sunday night and we've had two in the first five minutes here.

    Norway 0-0 Northern Ireland

Jonny Evans lays the ball off for his brother Corry from a free kick but the latter lashes his effort well over the bar.

Good start by Northern Ireland, though, they are getting at the Norway defence from the outset.

  3. 'Haaland is a handful'published at 19:49 British Summer Time 14 October 2020

    Norway 0-0 Northern Ireland

    John O'Neill
Former Northern Ireland defender on BBC Radio Ulster

I think the fact that Jonny Evans has started three games in a row - when you consider that Ian Baraclough must have been under pressure from Brendan Rodgers to not play him but I think it shows you how essential it is for him to play in this team.

Erling Haaland must be thinking 'I've got to face this guy again', three games and he's faced him twice.

I like the fact that we have got two up front, hopefully we can get some better service into them. It's going to be a tough game this one because Norway are obviously top of this group. It will all depend on how we handle Haaland - if we can get a grip of him then we might be okay but he's such a handful it will be difficult.

  4. GREAT SAVE!published at 3 mins

    Norway 0-0 Northern Ireland

Trevor Carson is called into action straight from the off off as Martin Odegaard plays a brilliant ball to Erlin Haaland, whose first time effort is denied by Carson before Tom Flanagan hooks the loose ball away before it can bounce over the line.

Moments later, Conor Washington sees a fierce strike pushed behind for a corner.

    Lively start!

The man Northern Ireland will have a tough job keeping quiet.

Erling Haaland is a goalscoring machine. His hat-trick for Norway in their 4-0 win against Romania at the weekend means he has now scored 51 goals in his last 48 games for club and country.

A late change in goal for Northern Ireland.

Bailey Peacock-Farrell has picked up an injury warming up and will be replaced in goal by Trevor Carson.

    Norway v Northern Ireland

    Mark Sterling
    BBC Sport NI

After making five changes for Sunday's defeat at home by Austria, Northern Ireland manager Ian Baraclough has made no less than 10 for tonight's encounter in Oslo.

Experienced Leicester City defender Jonny Evans is the only survivor from the 1-0 loss at Windsor Park, and takes the captain's armband from Steven Davis.

It looks like a 5-3-2 formation for NI, with Daniel Ballard and Tom Flanagan either side of Evans in the back three, in front of goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell. Shane Ferguson and Michael Smith are the wide men with Jordan Thompson, Corry Evans and George Saville in midfield.

Josh Magennis and Conor Washington will form a strike partnership as Baraclough's side look to add to a poor National League points tally of just one in seven games.
