  1. 'Rashford put down a statement'published at 17:19 British Summer Time 24 October 2020

Man Utd v Chelsea (17:30 BST)

    Martin Keown
Former Arsenal defender on Final Score

I feel Manchester United were short of fitness at the start of the season but they are starting to purr now.

That win against PSG, the way Rashford finished off that opportunity with Neymar and Mbappe on the pitch - I feel Rashford put down quite a statement there about how good he is. We know what he has done off the pitch, but he is doing it again now back on the pitch.

Ajax have finished at 13-0 by the way. Astonishing stuff. A tough sell for whoever's writing the report for Dutch Ceefax.

  3. 'Fernandes does all the things we only see Pogba do in pockets'published at 17:17 British Summer Time 24 October 2020

Man Utd v Chelsea (17:30 BST)

    Garth Crooks
Former Tottenham Hotspur striker on Final Score

Bruno Fernandes has been sensational for Manchester United. He hasn't put a foot wrong. He seems to do all the things we only see Paul Pogba do in pockets, here and there.

Fernandes is solid, in everything he seems to do. He seems to have raised United's game when it needed to be raised and I think he has been an amazing purchase.

Great minds Andy, as United have indeed gone back to a back four today. Quite why they've left out Axel Tuanzebe, who kept up with Kylian Mbappe the other night, is another issue.

  5. 'Man Utd need to go out and attack'published at 17:16 British Summer Time 24 October 2020

Man Utd v Chelsea (17:30 BST)

    Andy Reid
Ex-Republic of Ireland midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live Sport

I'm not sure if three at the back is the way forward for Manchester United, especially at home. Away from home it can work because you can have security with three and then the wing-backs to make it a five if they're under the cosh. Not at Old Trafford though - at home they need to go and attack and go on the front foot.

It depends what way you play that formation because it can become really defensive if you don't retain the ball and don't dominate possession - if you do dominate possession it can give you more men forward up the pitch. It really depends on the game and where the game is and it depends how brave they are to play that formation.

Well United have brought Harry Maguire back in too.

Bad defending = exciting matches normally so fingers crossed.

This is the kit I was thinking of. United's players are warming up in a new version of that.

Weirdly that's the exact game I had in my mind as well.

  9. 'Chelsea cannot defend'published at 17:09 British Summer Time 24 October 2020

Man Utd v Chelsea (17:30 BST)

Like Manchester United, Chelsea's biggest problem this season has been at the back.

I watched them against Southampton last weekend and they just capitulated. It has not been a one-off and Blues boss Frank Lampard is probably thinking 'who the heck do I play there?'.

At least Lampard has goalkeeper Edouard Mendy fit for Saturday because, as good as Chelsea are going forward, they cannot defend.

United are warming up in some absolute beauties - it's a replica of the blue and white flecked effort from, ooh, about 1992?

Strong Brian McClair vibes. I'll find you a picture.

Scott Parker did a great job getting this team to the Premier League. I hope the Fulham board stick by him because I doubt even Klopp or Pep could keep this Fulham side in the league.

    Rachel, Surrey

I had TWO Palace defenders in my fantasy team this week.... the opposition down to 10 men and in injury time... surely those clean sheet points were in the bag!

I'm afraid not Bill. If it helps, we've all been there...

  16. 'I've set myself personal goals'published at 17:01 British Summer Time 24 October 2020

    Fulham 1-2 Crystal Palace

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha: "We definitely needed to bounce back. I thought we played OK last game [against Brighton] but we needed to show more attacking sense and I felt we did that today.

"I love football so there's no day I don't enjoy it really. I've set myself personal goals and that's what I'm attacking every day.

"We know they're working hard at the back so it's up to us to get that one opportunity and to take it."

    Fulham 1-2 Crystal Palace

This was a very comfortable win for Crystal Palace. The only time I saw Roy Hogdson get out of his seat was to shake Scott Parker's hand at the final whistle.

Parker has a lot of work to do.

I don’t understand OGS’ persistence with Daniel James. Greenwood should be starting this. Unless there is more to the Mason story.

  19. 'Nervy for Palace'published at 16:57 British Summer Time 24 October 2020

    Fulham 1-2 Crystal Palace

    Alan Pardew
Former Southampton and West Ham manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

Crystal Palace switched off and you can't give Tom Cairney that time so he's settling himself and then bang he hits it in the top corner. It's come from nothing really Palace have not even penetrated he's hit it from 30 yards and it's gone in the top corner. Suddenly it's going to be three or four nervy minutes for Palace.

  20. 'Brilliant strike'published at 16:56 British Summer Time 24 October 2020

    Fulham 1-2 Crystal Palace

    Garth Crooks
Former Tottenham Hotspur striker on Final Score

Crystal Palace thought the game was over. They were not putting pressure on the ball and let Tom Cairney shoot from 20 yards. Brilliant strike.
