Manchester United's only win in their last five home games was in the Europa League against Austrian side LASK last season, when they were already 5-0 up from the away leg.

They lost 3-1 against Crystal Palace in this season's opening game, then were humiliated 6-1 by Tottenham in their last match at Old Trafford.

Unsurprisingly, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has changed his side's routine. They stayed in a hotel last night.

"I am not sure the wives and girlfriends are too happy," he just told MUTV.

RegularJon: despite this United XI starting the win at Newcastle last week, I’m not confident at all in them getting a good result today. It needed Pogba and VDB to get us in front last week. Strong bench at least, will very likely be needed!

Matthew: Regarding Tuanzebe. If he stays fit he's United's starting CB this season. But his first game back in a year was to keep Mbappe and Neymar quiet for the full 90 minutes in the absence of the club captain & now people want him thrown in for Chelsea? He needs to ease in.

I think it is going to be a cracker of a football match, really difficult to call.

These managers met four times last season - Manchester United won three of them before the FA Cup game, when David de Gea had a bit of a nightmare.

So it's difficult to call, but Manchester United lost their first two home games of the season, so it's not very consistent from them.

What are we looking at Dave - £80m for Maguire, £31m for Lindelof, £27m for Shaw and £50m for Wan-Bissaka?

Doesn't scream value for money does it?

Manchester United captain Harry Maguire, speaking to Sky: “We knew we had to improve. We had a poor first three games, but it’s only a start and it’s very early on in the season. We’ve got a long way to go.

“We had a good home record in the middle of last season where we found ourselves unbeaten in a few games. The first two games of this season has been nowhere near good enough. If we want to go where we want to go, we have to win more than we lose here.

“We’ve prepared well together. We need something to change because the home form hasn’t been good enough. Chelsea are a good team, but we’re full of confidence from the two wins we’ve got and we feel we can win.”

Chelsea

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard, speaking to Sky: “We’ve done OK. We can do better, without a doubt. I think you can see across the league that teams are trying to find their form. I’m happy, but we can do better.

“Scoring goals hasn’t been a problem all season. We’re playing a very good team who can give us different problems. We’ve got players who are finding each other, finding fitness and making relationships through the team.

“I don’t know whether it’s a good time to play them. The lack of fans seams to be affecting the game at the moment. They’ve had two very good games, so I don’t think their home defeats will affect things.

“We come here with a team that can cause Man United problems, but we have to be confident and believe we can win the game.”

Manchester United

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, speaking to Sky: “The atmosphere’s been good. Sometimes you have to reward players who play well, and there are a few players who deserve to be in the team. We felt this set-up is the best against the team we’re facing.

“If we get three points today, we’ve got a game in hand and suddenly it’s not that bad. The league is throwing up strange results, so it’s all up for grabs and we just need to hang on in there.”

On Edinson Cavani making an appearance off the bench: “Of course it’s match dependent [whether he plays or not]. Every substitute is match dependent. I hope to get him on the pitch, unless it’s a precarious situation.”
