I still don't really understand that. If you're fanatical about football you'd be first to get to a game wouldn't you?
FT: Liverpool 2-1 Sheffield United - Alisson returns in goal for hosts, Brewster starts for Sheff Utd
Berge converts penalty after Fabinho fouls McBurnie, but Firmino levels and Jota heads ahead
FT: Man Utd 0-0 Chelsea - Cavani made debut off bench
FT: Fulham 1-2 Crystal Palace - Zaha inspires visitors win
FT: West Ham 1-1 Man City - Antonio scores brilliant overhead kick
Foden replaces Aguero at half time and equalises from close range

Fans are fanatics and don't necessarily attend games - supporters support their club financially by attending matches.

Liverpool 2-1 Sheffield United
Some really good build-up play again from the Blades but that final pass eludes them. That's the difference at this level.
Liverpool 2-1 Sheffield United
The Blades put in two or three low crosses which Liverpool have to deal with and they do. The Reds then counter at pace and Sander Berge is booked for a pull on Gini Wijnaldum. Knew what he was doing.
Liverpool 2-1 Sheffield United
I've been really impressed with Ethan Ampadu in midfield today, the way he receives the ball and moves away from traffic is spot on. He does that well here, buys a bit of space but then with men inside he fires over.
Liverpool send on James Milner and Takumi Minamino for Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota.

I remember when the FA and co introduced VAR - they said it would not replace the debates down the pub and the questionable decisions, I thought they were wrong... I stand corrected! I would still be arguing about human error than computer error though!

I know who it was!
And Liverpool nearly have a third. Mo Salah spins his man inside the area, he can't touch Salah, Aaron Ramsdale comes out and the forward dinks it over him - and against the post.
Unlucky. Sadio Mane wanted it squared and is fuming. One day those two are going to have a proper scrap.

That's Sir Kenny Dalglish. There's a rather big clue adorning the old Centenary Stand. Keep up... And you're welcome.

Is there a difference between a fan and a supporter? You've lost me there.
It's not a Sheffield United game until you've seen Chris Basham stride into the opposition's area and there he is, chucking in an attempted Zidane turn as he swaps passes with Sander Berge but the ball gets away from him. Very promising attack though.

Joe 21:24 - VAR & all day TV football OK for football fans not for supporters.
Tony, Balham
Unsure how football is diluted when we're seeing Villa put 7 past Liverpool or Spurs put 6 past Utd and West Ham pull 3 back on Spurs.

Liverpool 2-1 Sheffield United
What an entrance that nearly was! David McGoldrick picks up the loose ball and crashes in a half volley that flies past Alisson but also goes over the top. Very nice effort and a good few minutes from the visitors who are not a side who lack ambition or belief given their poor run.
Liverpool 2-1 Sheffield United
Great save is pushing it but that 's another necessary save from Alisson. United work it really well down the right, Sander Berge sits a defender down with a drop of the shoulder and I think it was Oliver Burke who rattled in the effort. Pushed out by Alisson.
Dave McGoldrick comes on for John Lundstram.
Liverpool 2-1 Sheffield Utd
Roberto Firmino's celebration is not advisable for anyone with short hamstrings.
Liverpool 2-1 Sheffield United
United aren't done just yet though as Ben Osborn does well down the left and flights in an excellent cross which Joe Gomez has to thump clear. And he does with a fine clearing header. Dave McGoldrick is going to come on.
Liverpool 2-1 Sheffield United
Liverpool are going second in the table as it stands, with just Everton above them. Peak 1980s.
Liverpool 2-1 Sheffield United
You'd think clubs would have stopped printing physical programmes, with no fans allowed in and all, but Kenny Dalglish is thumbing through tonight's edition up in the stands.
It looks like being yet another home win for Jurgen Klopp's side.

Correct call giving Salah offside but VAR stopped me celebrating goals long ago anyway. Football feels somewhat diluted these days.

Liverpool 2-1 Sheffield United
It's a bit of a siege now on that Sheffield United goal. It feels a very long time ago since they took the lead.

Joe Venable: I feel the opposite of John in Leicester (21:11) - the thrilling handball intrigues, the offside shenanigans, and the way football from noon till 10pm allows it to dominate my entire weekend, for me have immeasurably enhanced the beautiful game!
Diogo Jota (64 mins)
Relentless!
Liverpool don't complain about the Mo Salah goal being chalked off, they just attack straight away and Sadio Mane beats his man on the left and stands up an excellent cross.
Enda Stevens has been excellent at centre-half tonight but he's sucked under the flight of this one, leaving Diogo Jota free to head in at the Kop end.
