I think it was the right decision. The ball was there to be won... but it's still a foul.

And there is the eternal problem, people saying there was an obvious correct decision - but then saying the opposite thing.

Adam Byrne: Yet another farcical decision by VAR. That should have been a goal for Jota.

Michael Reid: Correct decision to disallow the goal - but as ever, VAR took far too long.

Wayne Ellis: Surprised that even needed a review, clear foul by Mane.

Gbadero T'Oluwalope: Maybe we should tone down on this Liverpool conceding 15 goals in seven. We all know it's because of their seven-goal affair at Villa. Man Utd have conceded 12 in five games too, their six goals against Spurs duly contributed.

Adam Byrne: Firmino's days are numbered, he can't continue with this level of mediocrity.

Luke: Ref needs to enforce a rule that if a player cries out in such agony from a foul, they are immediately rushed to hospital and only permitted to return to the game once a full x-ray has confirmed no broken bones.

Ashish Macwan: What about introducing Jota to give something different to this Liverpool attack…?

Charles Fairweather: West Ham are playing like Burnley did because they need to to get anything out of this. Chelsea used quality to overcome Burnley, Liverpool just have to do the same with West Ham. In this league no one should roll over for the 'bigger' team, otherwise what’s the point?
