"When you’ve got Timo [Werner] coming into the team, it’s not like you’re bringing half a player in. We’ve got strength in depth, but our thoughts are with Christian [Pulisic] at the moment and hopefully he can get back soon.

"One of the key components to having a good squad is having competitive people against each other. We’ve got two or three players in each position who are all fighting for the shirt.

"Everyone wants to play, so it’s pushing us all forward."
