And on that bombshell I shall depart.

Cheers for your company. There's more football tomorrow (there's always football) so see you then.

    Bye!

    Well this escalated quickly!

These are the thumbs up and thumbs down in response to a question about whether Olivier Giroud was underrated.

When I last looked five minutes ago there were way more thumbs up to say he is underrated but that has swung quickly the other way...

All over and that's a big win for France that will give them real confidence ahead of their upcoming Nations League fixtures.

    Antoine Griezmann

France are not done yet as Antoine Griezmann adds a seventh. A dominant display from the hosts.

    Germany 3-3 Turkey

    Turkey

An injury time equaliser for Turkey's Kenan Karaman salvages a draw for the visitors.

It was only fitting really that after coming from behind twice tonight, they do it a third time just before time's up.

  7. goal

GOAL - France 6-1 Ukrainepublished at 82 mins

    Kylian Mbappe

    Beauty!

Kylian Mbappe gets the sixth as the striker gets the ball on the right, cuts inside before thumping an unstoppable effort into the back of the net.

    What a strike.

    France 5-1 Ukraine

Almost a sixth for France but Paul Pogba's shot following a corner is blocked on the line.

    Poland 5-1 Finland

    Poland

West Brom winger Kamil Grosicki scored a 19-minute hat-trick for Poland in a 5-1 friendly win over Finland.

Grosicki, 32, has scored once for Albion since joining them from Hull in January and has yet to feature in the Premier League this term.

He now has four goals for the season though, all of them for his country, after scoring against Bosnia-Herzegovina in September.

Poland were without all-time top scorer Robert Lewandowski against Finland.

But Krzysztof Piatek and Arkadiusz Milik were also on target or the hosts a fourth, while Finland scored a consolation through Ilmari Niskanen.

    France 5-1 Ukraine

Will keep things ticking over here with France's game against Ukraine still going. It's currently 5-1 and Oliver Giroud has just gone off.

Two goals today takes him to 42 for his country, nine behind all time top scorer Thierry Henry.

Is Giroud one of the world's most underrated strikers? Thumbs up for yes, down for no.

Actually, the main game we put our main focus on was the only one to end goalless, with goals flying in everywhere else.

    Typical.

    Netherlands 0-1 Mexico

    Netherlands

Full time results are dropping from elsewhere and in the end Raul Jimenez's second half penalty was enough to give Mexico victory against the Netherlands.

    Portugal 0-0 Spain

That was the last chance of the game as the referee blows for full time.

    It ends goalless.

    Portugal 0-0 Spain

    HOW HAS HE NOT SCORED?

The corner is flicked onto the far post where Joao Felix is, totally unmarked, but he somehow scuffs wide!

    Should have been the winner.

    Portugal 0-0 Spain

Lovely flick around Diego Llorente by Diogo Jota and he charges down on goal before his shot deflects behind for a corner.

  16. Postpublished at 90 mins

    Portugal 0-0 Spain

Well the referee isn't as keen for an early finish this time as he lets the full 45 minutes of this half play out.

He's even added three minutes on.

  17. Postpublished at 89 mins

    Portugal 0-0 Spain

Sergio Ramos powers a header over the bar from a Spain corner.

That was a good chance as he managed to get away from the Portugal defence but couldn't keep his effort down.

    Italy 6-0 Moldova

    Italy

    Big update from Italy.

    Kevin Lasagna is on!

Also, Italy have scored a sixth goal - Domenico Berardi.

  19. Postpublished at 86 mins

    Portugal 0-0 Spain

Well, it's been no World Cup 2018 rematch but it's been an interesting game nonetheless. Four minutes to go for someone to get a breakthrough but it is starting to feel like this is winding down to a draw.

  20. Germany back in frontpublished at 21:28 British Summer Time 7 October 2020

    Germany 3-2 Turkey

    Germany

Germany ahead for the third time as Luca Waldschmidt chests the ball down and fires past keeper Mert Gunok, who probably should've done better.

    We go again.
