It's been a dominant performance from Germany so far and they finish the first half with a well-deserved goal.

BIG chance for Portugal!

A superb leap by Cristiano Ronaldo - just how does he get that much height? - as he nods down a cross for Trincao, who hooks the ball back into the middle of the area but Raphael Guerreiro lashes over. Had to get that one on target.

The Spain attack appears to have run out of steam after a fast start and chances are few and far between as half time approaches. Wouldn't say it has been an exciting watch, but certainly intriguing.

Italy

Italy's B team really making light work of mighty Moldova.

Go on Ronaldo lad!

The Juventus forward has popped up on the left and charges forward with the ball. He's into the box, couple of step overs and is about to let fly but a well-timed tackle by Diego Llorente swiftly ends Ronaldo's excitement.

Lovely control by Cristiano Ronaldo as he brings a long ball from the back under control with one-touch and then feeds Joao Moutinho with his second touch. Moutinho quickly tries to spring Andre Silva but his ball is intercepted and Ronaldo throws his head back in frustration.

Francisco Trincao has a think about a foray down the right but is put off by the presence of Eric Garcia and goes backwards.

Remember when Andre Silva was linked, external with a move to Huddersfield? That was mad, that.

Anyway he, like Cristiano Ronaldo, has seen very little action so far in this half. Think he touched the ball five minutes ago but that's about it.

Pepe gets crunched by two Spain players and Portugal have a free kick on the right. Joao Moutinho whips the ball into the area and Eric Garcia heads behind for a corner but this time Pepe is penalised for a foul inside the box.

A very unfamiliar looking Italy side have hit a pair of quickies against Moldova in Florence.

Roma's Bryan Cristante, probably the most high profile name in this starting XI, has his first international goal with a near-post header.

And there's a debut goal for Francesco Caputo. The Sassuolo striker is making his first international appearance at the age of 33.

It's not great though as one-time Swansea loanee and current Lille midfielder Renato Sanches sends an effort from 30 yards well over the goal.

Dani Olmo floats the ball in from the left but Portugal head away. Spain quickly regain possession as Sergio Canales plays a one-two with Olmo before the latter sweeps a low effort goalwards but too close to Rui Patricio.

The stats tell the story of the game so far with Spain enjoying 59% possession and managing eight shots on goal, three of those on target.

Portugal are yet to have any effort at all on Kepa's goal.
