  4. 'Lennon's changes too late'published at 14:30 British Summer Time 17 October 2020

    FT: Celtic 0-2 Rangers

    Tom English
    BBC Scotland's chief sports writer

    Quote Message

That's back-to-back Old Firm wins now and Rangers are putting on a string of good performances against Celtic. It was obvious Celtic were flat and it seemed to take an awful long time for Neil Lennon to change things. By the time he did, it was too late

  5. Rangers deliver first blowpublished at 14:29 British Summer Time 17 October 2020

    FT: Celtic 0-2 Rangers

Celtic still have plenty of time to recover from that - especially as they still have a game in hand.

They will remind themselves that Rangers slumped after winning at Celtic Park in December.

Neil Lennon can also point to the absence of half a team from injury and Covid-19 self-isolation.

However, Rangers have certainly given him much to think about as they deal their Glasgow rivals a body blow in their attempt to secure a historic 10th consecutive title.

  6. FULL-TIME Celtic 0-2 Rangerspublished at 14:24 British Summer Time 17 October 2020

Rangers ease to victory in the first Old Firm derby of the season.

A goal in each half from Connor Goldson separates the sides, but the scoreline hardly reflects the visitors' dominance.

Celtic had one effort on target as they suffer back-to-back victories to their city rivals and fall four points behind in the title race.

  7. 'A complete Rangers performance'published at 14:22 British Summer Time 17 October 2020

    Celtic 0-2 Rangers

    Billy Dodds
Former Scotland striker on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

It's been a complete performance from Rangers. We know the way they set up and play and Celtic just haven't handled that. Rangers got the goals at the right times and it's been so straightforward

  8. 'Questions over Celtic's spirit'published at 14:22 British Summer Time 17 October 2020

    Celtic 0-2 Rangers

    Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

There's no zip about Celtic. It's very disappointing from them. There's question marks over the formation and questions over their spirit

  9. Aribo for Arfieldpublished at 89mins

    Celtic 0-2 Rangers

As we head for three minutes of stoppage time, another Rangers change plays for time.

Joe Aribo returns from injury to replace Scott Arfield in midfield.

  10. 'So easy for Rangers'published at 14:17 British Summer Time 17 October 2020

    Celtic 0-2 Rangers

    Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

It's been so easy for Rangers. Celtic don't seem capable of creating too much at all

  11. GREAT SAVE!published at 86mins

    Celtic 0-2 Rangers

Celtic goalkeeper Vasilas Barkas does well to tip a James Tavernier free-kick over the crossbar as it heads for the top corner.

    All Rangers at the moment.

  12. Morelos off, Itten onpublished at 85mins

    Celtic 0-2 Rangers

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard reacts to that yellow card for the hot-headed Colombian by withdrawing Alfredo Morelos.

Cedric Itten is the striker's replacement up front.

  13. YELLOW CARD Duffy (Celtic) & Morelos (Rangers)published at 14:15 British Summer Time 17 October 2020

    Celtic 0-2 Rangers

A bit of a coming together between Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos and Celtic centre-half Shane Duffy and both go into the referee's book.

With no crowd to bay for blood, referee John Beaton is able to calm proceedings.

  14. Turnbull and Taylor on for Celticpublished at 83mins

    Celtic 0-2 Rangers

Midfielder David Turnbull and left-back Greg Taylor are thrown on by Celtic manager Neil Lennon.

  15. 'Most one-sided derby in decades'published at 14:12 British Summer Time 17 October 2020

    Celtic 0-2 Rangers

    Billy Dodds
Former Scotland striker on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

I've not seen such a one-sided Old Firm game in a long time - and I played in Rangers' 6-2 defeat at Celtic

  16. Postpublished at 80mins

    Celtic 0-2 Rangers

Best chance yet for Celtic as Kristoffer Ajer bounds forward from the back and plays an excellent little pass behind the visiting defence to find Leigh Griffiths.

The substitute has only Allan McGregor to beat, but he takes it too wide and his tame effort towards goal is leapt on gratefully by the backtracking goalkeeper.

That could have got Celtic back into the game somewhat out of the blue.

  17. 'Celtic ineffectual out wide'published at 14:09 British Summer Time 17 October 2020

    Celtic 0-2 Rangers

    Billy Dodds
Former Scotland striker on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

We've talked about the wide areas all day in a defensive sense, but offensively you're expecting your wing-backs to run the length of the pitch and get a cross in. Celtic haven't done it. The 3-5-2 formation simply hasn't worked

  18. Gloom descends at Celtic Parkpublished at 14:08 British Summer Time 17 October 2020

    Celtic 0-2 Rangers

It's all petering out for Celtic.

A packed Celtic Park would normally be screaming for more effort - and probably getting it.

But the pre-recorded fan sounds are not enough with the home side looking lacklustre and very much a beaten side.

  19. No shots on target so far for Celticpublished at 14:05 British Summer Time 17 October 2020

    Celtic 0-2 Rangers

    Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

As a home team in this fixture, you have got to create more than Celtic have

  20. Who is doing well? Who is having a stinker?published at 14:04 British Summer Time 17 October 2020
