So, a Tony Watt-inspired Motherwell prove too strong for Ross County while Kevin Nisbet fires Hibernian to victory at Rugby Park.

The win moves Hibs to within a point of second-placed Celtic in the Premiership table, having played two games more.

No goals in Perth, as St Johnstone and Dundee United settle for a point apiece.

Kilmarnock boss Alex Dyer also describes the decisive penalty for Hibs as a "double blow", insisting there was little, if any contact, and that the incident originated outside the box.

Kilmarnock manager Alex Dyer tells BBC Scotland: "We're just waiting [for news on Clevid Dikamona's injury] and there's no update at the moment. We know that he's gone to hospital.

"I think it was his foot and we know it's a bad one. I don't think there was much between the two sides and I think the penalty was outside [the box]."

Ross County manager Stuart Kettlewell told BBC Scotland: "There was just a real degree of naivety in the second half.

"It's a real frustration for me. When we go behind, there seems to be a real softness in us.

"We had numerous chances ourselves. Ross Stewart's had three that I would expect him to finish."

Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson told BBC Scotland: "To put on a level of performance and [midfielder] Mark O'Hara playing at centre-half was outstanding.

"Tony Watt was unplayable. If he keeps those fitness levels, energy and desire then we've got a really good centre-forward.

"Devante Cole for someone who hasn't played for such a long time was very good. Overall, really, really pleased with the performance."

Robinson added goalkeeper Trevor Carson's first-half injury "doesn't look good".

"I'm really pleased with how we played today. It was a tough match and we had to show different sides of our character to win."

St Johnstone manager Callum Davidson tells BBC Scotland: "After 10 minutes we performed to a really high level. Our players were great, moved the ball quickly and created chances. Their goalkeeper has made two or three really good saves to keep them in the game.

Tony Watt excelled with the opener, winning the penalty for Mark O'Hara's second and heading a Ross Stewart effort off the line before setting up Devante Cole's fourth goal after Callum Lang got the third.

Will Hibs see out the closing minutes to secure all three points at Rugby Park? Or will Kilmarnock find a late, late equaliser?

Dundee United missed the chance to climb into fifth in the Scottish Premiership as they shared a draw with St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park.

But the result will frustrate the hosts more who had the bulk of the chances but failed to take advantage.

David Wotherspoon, Craig Bryson, Scott Tanser and Jason Kerr all sent good efforts wide for the home side. And Saints had a late header from Murray Davidson well saved by United goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist.

With Motherwell beating Ross County, Callum Davidson's side fall to 10th in the league table.
