St Johnstone continue to create most of the chances at McDiarmid Park, and David Wotherspoon's shot is charged down by Mark Connolly with the deflection almost catching out his goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist, but the Swiss stopper manages to push it wide for a corner kick.

This is a game that really needs something to bring it to life. Saints still have most of the possession, but chances really are few and far between. United have offered little in an attacking sense since the opening few minutes of this goalless affair.

Chris Burke gets in behind the Hibs defence and cuts the ball back for Greg Kiltie but the Kilmarnock midfielder wants too long to sort his feet out and that allows Paul Hanlon to close him down and stop the shot.

Burke gets a second bite at it and Ofir Marciano bats his cross away with a kind of underarm volleyball punch.

Summer signing Mark O’Hara sure comes in handy. He can play in defence or midfield, often pops up with goals in open play and hits penalties as well! The former Kilmarnock and Peterborough United man put this one low into his bottom left corner after Tony Watt was judged to have been fouled by Alex Iacovitti.

Ross Stewart really should have halved Ross County's deficit there.

The big striker latches onto Michael Gardyne's header and has virtually the whole goal to aim at but he gets his connection wrong and knocks it wide.

A lovely turn from Kevin Nisbet near the edge of the box takes the Hibs striker away from two defenders but once again Stuart Findlay gets himself in the way with a solid block.
