  1. YELLOW CARDpublished at 62 mins

    Bristol City 1-3 Norwich

Makeshift Norwich left-back Jacob Sorensen is the first player into the book for a late challenge.

An area for Bristol City to target more, I'd suggest.

  2. Update from elsewherepublished at 13:51 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2020

HT: Gillingham 0-0 Sunderland; Exeter 0-0 Carlisle

Goalless between Gillingham and Sunderland in League One. Scoreless between Exeter and Carlisle in League Two.

    Updated.

  3. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 60 mins

    Bristol City 1-3 Norwich

Wow. Chris Martin whips one against the post from 25 yards out.

Norwich keeper Tim Krul was beaten.

Almost a way back into this for Bristol City out of nowhere.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 58 mins

    Bristol City 1-3 Norwich

An overdue first change for Bristol City.

Midfielder Tyreeq Bakinson on for centre-back Taylor Moore - a change in shape for the hosts.

  5. Postpublished at 56 mins

    Bristol City 1-3 Norwich

Teemu Pukki is definitely hungry for a hat-trick.

He gets to the front post and on the end of another low Max Aarons cross, but the Norwich striker can only steer his attempt wide.

    The hosts are struggling.

  6. Postpublished at 54 mins

    Bristol City 1-3 Norwich

Norwich playmaker Emi Buendia is down and looks in some pain. However the Argentine is back up and able to continue for now.

The stoppage allows Bristol City boss Dean Holden to ponder his next move - you'd expect a change sharpish.

  7. Postpublished at 52 mins

    Bristol City 1-3 Norwich

The hosts fail to clear a corner and Lukas Rupp drags a low shot wide inside the box for Norwich.

I'd be surprised if there aren't more goals in this.

  8. Postpublished at 49 mins

    Bristol City 1-3 Norwich

Norwich's Marco Stiepermann tries his luck from range but his powerful shot is comfortably over the bar.

  9. Postpublished at 48 mins

    Bristol City 1-3 Norwich

No changes for the start of this second half.

Bristol City have come out brightly but they also need to keep things tight at the back, and Norwich have a great recent record of scoring late in games.

  10. Second halfpublished at 46 mins

    Bristol City 1-3 Norwich

They're back under way at Ashton Gate.

There were four goals in the first half - more of the same please from two sides that seem to see attack as the best form of defence.

They're midway through the first half at both Priestfield and St James Park.

A sucker-punch for the hosts right on half-time.

They looked lively after Jack Hunt made it 2-1 but Dean Holden's side have not been able to deal with Norwich's movement in attack.

Teemu Pukki looks back to his best with two composed finishes and Emi Buendia's fine touch and strike has given them a cushion.

  15. goal

GOAL: Bristol City 1-3 Norwichpublished at 45+2 mins

    Emi Buendia

    Too good from Norwich.

Yet again it's one ball that unlocks the Bristol City defence - but that first touch from Emi Buendia is another level.

He takes Ben Gibson's long pass under his spell and effortlessly slots past Dan Bentley.

  16. INJURY TIMEpublished at 45+1 mins

    Bristol City 1-2 Norwich

Two minutes have been added on at the end of this thoroughly entertaining first half.

  17. Postpublished at 45 mins

    Bristol City 1-2 Norwich

Having been on the ropes when Bristol City halved their deficit, Norwich are now the side probing.

Max Aarons surges down the right but can't quite find the pass to tee up Teemu Pukki in the middle.

  18. CLOSE!published at 41 mins

    Bristol City 1-2 Norwich

That was nearly a magnificent third goal for Norwich.

Przemyslaw Placheta dribbles inside and nudges an exquisite pass for Emi Buendia, whose effort is well smothered by Dan Bentley.

The Canaries are a joy to watch at times.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 38 mins

    Bristol City 1-2 Norwich

Norwich skipper Grant Hanley stoops to clear a Jay Dasilva cross and the hosts have a corner.

From it Chris Martin gets a strong header at goal but Tim Krul gets down fantastically to his left to tip clear.

Nahki Wells is there for the rebound but the Bristol City striker is ruled offside.

  20. Postpublished at 34 mins

    Bristol City 1-2 Norwich

We have our first lull in proceedings at Ashton Gate, which is understandable after a frenetic start.

Bristol City have certainly looked better since pulling one back but Norwich have regained their composure after a dodgy 10 minute spell.
