Cardiff got stronger as the first half wore on against Barnsley, and it is little surprise that they are now 2-0 up.

Harry Wilson's neat exchange with Kieffer Moore brought the spot-kick which was converted by Joe Ralls to put the Bluebirds firmly in control.

Barnsley boss Valerien Ismael has cut a frustrated figure throughout - and was unimpressed enough to make a tactical substitution when it was still 1-0.

The player hauled off, Elliott Simoes, did not look happy.
